Have to check out Shoc Sox... They are ankle high beach socks, but they have a Kevlar sole which is super strong. (There's a video of someone taking a razor to it, and it didn't cut) I love them, I have multiple pairs. Make sure it's Shoc Sox (no k in shoc)
Yea, I've seen those and Skinners, etc, but my issue is they're all synthetic, which has poor breathability and makes my feet sweat like crazy. If they made a merino wool or hemp version, I'd be all over them!
@@AndrewFolts I actually wear mine with thin ankle socks underneath, and it makes them less sweaty if you can believe that... Awesome as barefoot feeling shoes though, and way tougher than they look
It seems the amount of barefoot shoe brands and models is growing and growing, though i still see very few peeps wearing them out in the public. My question: Do you think barefoot shoes will ever go mainstream?
Well, technically barefoot shoes were "mainstream" for thousands of years up to the 1970's, so I'd say the chances of a resurgence are good, ha. It's hard to say how many people are currently wearing barefoot shoes, because a lot of them look like regular shoes from a distance. But I have seen a fair number of people wearing them lately.
Oh, really? Like in the search results, you mean? It's probably because I mention them and link to the site in pretty much every review video, as well as the written articles on my site. Over time the more links you have to a product, the more likely you are to rank, SEO wise.
Hi Andrew This question is not about slippers but about the new Vivobarefoot Tracker AT boots, do you know anything about them yet as I’m very interested in getting a pair.
Yea, those are also what I'm most interested in out of all the new boots! They're sending me a pair to test, hopefully soon. I like that they improved the FG2 (AT now, I guess?) sole to have wider lugs with more texture spaced closer together, because the first FG2 was thicker and more spaced, which was actually more geared toward soft ground. They're 6.5mm, which is slightly thinner and more flexible too.
Around 80+ I think, but I only use maybe ten on a daily basis. I keep them around to answer people's questions and make comparison videos. It's like a little "barefoot library," ha.
Haha I love it, thanks for sharing the library on RU-vid, It is fun to see all the options out there. I got into barefoot shoes about 3 years ago now they are all I wear.
You have no idea...my room is literally a disaster right now! In the videos you see this beautiful minimal scene and right out of frame is a sea of barefoot shoes and boxes, lol. I can't wait to move into my van, so I can build some shelves in my old room to properly organize my "barefoot library." (:
