It's not really that hard to get a 100k+ score (without hacks or cheating). However, it's very time consuming and you need patience.
In this video, you'll see some easy steps on how to get a highscore in slither.io.

He is right. This is the safest strategy for getting a high score. He is also right that you need patience. But one thing is not exactly right. This isn't very boring if you are in a populated place. Seeing people try to circle you is really entertaining :)

And here is the magic ; Someone tries to trap you, then other person wants to trap you and the first guy. The first guy will try to escape but he will fail. Or, someone will try to trap you but he will fail.

Until you eventually are circling the whole map, then move inward and kill everyone that spawns inside you

OMG i would be so angry if it lagged me at a time like that :/ the biggest that i have ever been when it froze was only like 9 or 10k and i thought THAT was terrible :P
