@@UpCycleMaker Oh I really thought it was the rebar. Anyway. It's really amazing what this little machine can do with only a little patience and some sharp carbid inserts. I am more and more tempted to get this little machine. My only concern is if it is not too loud...
@@bastian6173 in this video it is rebar, but i can machine stainless steel. I am using it in my new videos :) I am using it in my apartents small porch. I can say this lathe can be used at home. Machinig rebars thorn makes sounds but circular stock materials doesnt make much sound. vibration is very very low.
@@UpCycleMaker Oh now I understand! I think rebar thorn isn't practical in the long run. Too much work in order to get a smooth cylinder. Thank you for reporting your experience. It's very helpful for my buying decision.
@@bastian6173 Yes it is realy realy inpractical. You have to spent too much time, effort and tool life. Mine was experiment. I am happy that my experience helps you :)
i would suggest to keep the protusion as small as possible: just a 2mm washer with a counter-sunk screw head will give you much better clearance for other projects
Awesome! it cuts, so from this point onwards is only the way to perfection I think proxxon doesn't have this accessory so you have made it yourself, then you can make other accessories too
Thanks for comment .Yes proxxon doesnt have this tool. I am planning to make some more accesories soon. For this i made some measurement mistakes i need to correct them :)
