Fun fact: with multiple cascade triggers each cascaded spell resolves completely before moving on to the next cascade

When cascading, you may also choose not to cast the spell, putting it to the bottom of your library

Basal Sliver's synergy with Gravemother eluded me when I initially looked over the deck. I'd imagine Gravemother + Basal sliver will almost always result in a game winning situation, although clearly Kindred Discovery really fed into it. Huge!

Pretty fun game, all decks “did their thing” and was pretty entertaining. In the end though slivers got enough to overwhelm as they are wont to do.

4:05 Calamity of the Titans would be put at the bottom of the deck with the other cards revealed through cascade as it wasn’t cast. 702.85a. Cascade is a triggered ability that functions only while the spell with cascade is on the stack. "Cascade" means "When you cast this spell, exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card whose mana value is less than this spell's mana value. You may cast that card without paying its mana cost if the resulting spell's mana value is less than this spell's mana value. Then put all cards exiled this way that weren't cast on the bottom of your library in a random order."

+8/+8 because the first trigger makes you the monarch. It only gives +1/+1 if you're already the monarch

Big swingy effect on a lot of mana, meaning it looks like it should be a lightning rod for removal. One spell a turn likely if you want to cascade. You deck is filled with mana rocks and enablers meaning you’re not always going to hit good things off your cascades. You’re not comboing off but trying to outvalue an opponent by casting one spell a turn. It’s probably just not all that great of a gameplan and one that has the added downsides of a commander that makes people want to blow it up and have to run some awful spells as well.
