I've felt the eternal abandonment of the love of my life. This song knew where it was going into my soul the first time I heard it, and knew I was aware of it.
LYRICS (web reference): Breathe, breathe, breathe, breathe The breaks in life always seem to pass away, pass away, pass away But sometime baby you gotta let me break free, break free, break free But that don't mean that I don't love you, love you Oh yeah, if you listen I'll tell you one time Oh yeah babe, I know you don't listen and I'll tell you a second time Oh yeah, the sea's gone baby and the sun is up, yeah Oh yeah, you and she are gone, and she likes you to know Burn, burn, burn, burn Your love has burned and your soul is gone, and I don't care, and I don't mind And there's something good in your never poor Lord, lord, lord, lord There's something in you well I can see Now give it to me, give it to me
John and Josh make great music. I'm actually glad Kyuss broke up. There would be no Slo Burn, QOTSA or Unida without it. Love both of them as I do Brant, Nick, Scott, and Alfredo. Maybe they'll make music together again sometime. Pretty special.
Truckfighters gives them a run for their money nowadays, i love all these bands but Truckfighters has created a beautiful hybrid of Kyuss and Russian Circles. Never thought it could be pulled off
I don't know anything about gaming and I've never played a video game ever but I do loves this song And now I will listen to the other two you recommended on the trilogy thank you
Agreed, it's foolish to look back at the old days.. they both produced so much stuff after Kyuss and met many different people. They both expanded into different directions and I really dont mind what has become of them. People are the way they are and stuff becomes what it oughta be amirite? Love this song, good example of what I said above.
fell in love with this genre couple of summers back i loved so burn, unida and kyuss, didn't know why, then i learnt that they all had john garcia as a singer. that guy is so good, he basically built stoner rock by himself.
Oh, remember when that album hit the streets...awesome days. Its still god-pounding awesome, but when its "living" and fresh its alive and moves you so very differently... cant really describe it in a short way. But if you were there I guess you know?
very nice dude. have this amazing album and it still rocks as hell but never had the chance to listen to this epic track with (now) very good quality! THX!!!
thanks for uploading man... if you think of it : kyuss is stoner metal. cause when kyuss disbanded they created/joined other bands that became stoner metal... no band will ever reach the orgasm kyuss gives me , however all of them are playing my favourite genre of metal though before getting to know kyuss I was mostly listening to thrash/death metal...
Regarding the quality of the tracks... the only 'official' release of this was a 9track cdr (1000copies) from Red Ant who released the 4track cd & 10"... as far as I know, the last 5 songs (Slo Burn, Positiva, Cactus Jumper, Round Trip and Snake Hips) were not mastered, so they sound a little rough. Still awesome stuff though...
DominikLederhas Yeah i read a Brant Bjork interview a few years ago and he mentioned that Josh Homme said Slo Burn was John Garcia and a bunch of crap musicians who couldn't play. Blew me away - Slo Burn were awesome!
DominikLederhas I'll try hunt for it , though finding specific interviews on the internet isn't easy especially when it was a few years ago and i don't remember the link , but i'm certainly not making it up , after reading that i've always remember it.
Flipper1974nz Hm. Josh basically never utters to the skill or even music of an other band. *Except that one time in Toronto where he was like "Oh yeah, Techno's horrible." haha.* But yeah, I gotta see this. From my knowledge of Josh, which you can believe me is not that narrow, I can't think of such a comment coming from him. Edit: The Techno thing is interesting btw because Joshua actually worked at a few rave parties back in the desert haha.
