This version of Fallen Angel is very significant! It practically shows his journey throughout the song. First Norwegian part - staging with guitar is an image of his music teacher during the first music lesson TIX had. Plus the song was originally In Norwegian in the first stage of MGP English second section- sitting alone in spot light is an image from when his cat Findus saves him (the images are from his book). MGP final - song is done in English. Backup singers are the same ones TIX had as his demons. Last Norwegian part - the most significant part of all. It represents a special moment for TIX when Emilie Hallow (a songwriter who helped him translate the song into English) sang him Fallen Angel and sang a special verse in Norwegian for a tv special. He slightly changed the words from that verse so it was meaningful to who listens to it…. “But you You are not a fallen angel You are someone everyone around you needs And you need to understand that we will never let you go. One day your thousand tears will dry Out of the darkness, Again”
I absolutely love this performance ❤️ Yes, he was able to not use sunglasses because of the lights, he didn’t get any sharp lights in his eyes. And he performs only with a white headband without TIX on it, and no fur coat. So this is Andreas performing, and it was so beautiful ❤️ Another thing: Efendi was supposed to perform with him, but because of covid restrictions she couldn’t come🥰🥰
Norway does not always send songs in the hope of winning. Sometimes we send songs because the world needs to hear the message, and the artist needs to share the message. Tix was one such case. What we won by sending Andreas was worth much more than all the Eurovision victories.
Tix was incredible.)) One of my favorites of that year. I loved "Monument" also, but "Fallen Angel" deserved to go. ...and it stays on my playlist to this day.))))
Don't worry...I'll be back this weekend. I'm not going anywhere this time. ☺ The Ukraine situation really hit me hard as I've spent a lot of time in Ukraine. I have so many memories in Kharkiv and it's breaking my heart to see everything going on there and in all of Ukraine. I just needed some time to get my thoughts back together. 😔😔
I understand. Monument was incredible...and would have been my winner. I think Norway would have won. I like Monument a lot better than Spirit In the Sky....and that music video was breathtaking; they put so much hard work into it.
