Yeah sure Slovenia has 2 millions inhabitants but you also got to consider the genetics : on average they are much taller and bigger than most of the people from the rest of the world. That helps a lot in sports like volleyball, basketball etc
@Aleksej Brečko i cant speak for all Polish fans but personaly i prefer Italy, they play better volleyball and its very nice to look how they play, they are young and its nice to look how they will be better in every match, in slovenia i like olny 2 players its Cebuli ( sorry if i write it wrong) and stern, besides slovenia win few matches with us so we cant go higher so i think some can be angry for that Xd , but slovenia is a good team and i respect they but if i had to chose i will pick Italy for sure.

We must considere Slovenia was really undefeatable yesterday! Great Smash, great serve, unbelieveble played (as the the false smash diverted in assist for the real smash), great opposition walls and great defense....absolute high level playing....but, as matter of fact, Italy has deserved thi victory having played with humility, ball after ball, reason about the best solution for each single play, doing a lot of mistake but using a wide range of shots, all seasoned with an olympic calm.

Ok, let's make a premise; thinking about the inhabitants number it's even superfluous saying that Slovenia has to be admired for the extraordinary sport results, before it was just basketball and something in skiing (the wonderful Tina) and maybe some other result in sports that I don't know but now it have also great cycling champions and this excellent volleyball team, so just compliments to them. But, said that, Volleyball is not the Football where not always who plays better win, there is no reason to say "you deserved more etc", this match, as the result says, was very close (unlike the one in the group) and in the end Italy won. Obviously I don't consider the great italian tradition a reason because in this specific case the italian team was very young instead the Slovenia was super expert (so there was no a true favorite). there are many strange things , we have in the serie A at least two players who play in National teams as bench players, other who spike 374 the other 384 as bench players , and Robertlandy who is probably the best middle blocker ever who is never in tv for olympics europeans or the world cup ,what a pity

After an impressive win by this Italian youngsters. Something just came to my mind that what if this is the line up Italy had during olympics considering the level of their performances in this tournament. I think they could manage to reach a higher placement in olympics too, or could even reach finals. It would surely test how well France's very creative attackers against these young Italian's solid blockings. Would love to see it for sure if given the chance😍🔥
If they did not lost at the Olympics. I wouldn’t think they will form a new line up. They would stick to the same players. Probably introduced some new players in exchange of those who retired. But we would not able to see the greatness of these young talents.

@Marko Senica Poland lost in the semi-final against Slovenia so maybe it's a reason. This is the 4th time that they lose against them in a row. We have nothing against Slovenia.
the fight with poland was a very rough one, but i think the problem was that the italians were just not making as many mistakes... and then romano being switched in ruined us
@@lavikmee dude we missed 25 serves.. italy made a lot of mistakes. Romanò was the key of the game, without him and Lavia Slovenia would have won. It was a great match thanks to both teams that despite their mistakes were able to fight till the end
@@barbarafioretti4449 yes at the start maybe and then towards the end, but slovenia was making a lot more mistakes (and not only serves). But yes, i agree romano made all the difference. We simply didnt have anyone to send on court who could battle him head on. But yes, it was an amazing match, one kd my favorite ones to watch yet

I couldn’t agree more. Definitely Yuri Romano’s entrance changed the momentum. The same way Russia made Musersky opposite in the 3rd set of the London Olympics. Sometimes tactical coaching plays a great part for the team to win.
If u watch the entire match, you can clearly see that Slovenia is in control of the game. The momentum is on their side. Until the coaching staff exchange Paneli to Romano on the fourth set. And Romano surprised everyone in the Slovenian team. I bet they did not scouted him. They had no response. Similar to Brazil’s experience at the London Olympics when Russia made Musersky an OH from being a MB. The momentum changed and Italy took control.

@@jaco9253 Romano started playing at the fourth set up to the tie breaker. His attack efficiency was at 96%. Meaning the Slovenia was not able to block him or dig his ball. Also, he had a couple of service aces. I strongly felt Slovenia would win because they are playing great. And Italy had lot of errors. But Romano’s entrance changed the tune of the game. Italy was reenergized and found new confidence. Even Cebulji of Slovenia acknowledged that in their post match interview.
@@lukasloh2509 Ok I'm agree with you about good match played by Slovenia and its momentum you're talking about but Italy didn't play an horrible match until the romano's entry cause the sets finished 25/22 Slo - 25-20 Ita - 25-20 Slo and 25-20 Ita and then 15-11 at the tie break (this is facts) so Romano's entry may been the right decision and this is a recognition to a good coach and his tactical technicians that form good team all together but beyond your feelings about the winner of the match .... Ok Romano's entry may have been crucial for the result and italy has done lot of errors but in the end what do you mean ... Italy shouldn't have let Romano in or Italy didn't deserve to win ? In my opinion Italy led a good match that's the point so congratulation.
@@jaco9253 what I’m saying is that his entrance on the fourth set is the game changer. And it’s a great tactical coaching from Italy. Slovenia is leading 2-1. It would be a different 4th set and 5th set if it’s still Paneli who is playing. And Romano should be recognized alongside with other great players from Italy. Clearly Slovenia has no answer to his attack.
@@lukasloh2509Oh you're right about Romano's performance showed during the final and yeah, he should be recognized like a great player especially for the fact that he played in A2 until now in Italy with Siena last year ! At the final his performance was unbelivable and what I supposed to say was that the matches can be win it even that way with a player that shows off his potentials and that's beautiful because the matches are more spectacular even when a team has his momentum and you can't even imagine until the end who will win the match or when there's always some plottwist ! Congrats italy both of them should take it , slovenia could kill the game in the fourth set but the coach was late to take the time out after italy made the comeback from the point 12 and in the fifth set after they were leading 3-0 despite the substutions of italian coach which were perfect
Italy deserved the gold medal win. They played very well threw the whole Euro volley tournament. Slovenia played with honor but were to weak to win the game.
