Hi Don, Thank you so very much for sharing my music on your great platform! It's really good to see so many people enjoy the song I wrote back in 2002. The band is no longer in existance but still I'd like to say something about the music. The song “The Bottle” was released as a demo on the “Slide On In “ EP, early 2002. I wrote it in 1 hour time, while drinking a fine bottle of vodka. Then when we got together in the rehearsal room the song was instantly played in it's original form the way it was released a few months later. I realized that it resembled SRV's “Tin Pan Alley” and of course that song was a huge inspiration to me, but also the blues ballads by Albert King, Freddie King and Lonnie Mack were a major influence. I have tried to use a different chord progression and accents to make my own arrangement but still wanted the song to 'breathe' the atmosphere from “Tin Pan Alley”. Shortly after the release the second guitarist quit the band and we went on as a quartet. The official 2005 album release “Let Me In” also contains the final version of the song, this time accompanied by a Hammond B3 organ instead of the rhythm guitar. Unfortunately the band split up 3 years later and I started a solo career as a one-man-band. You can still order the album “Let Me In” on my website: bobrocken.nl/shop/cd-slow-blow-fuse-let-me-in-ft-big-bo/ I am thinking about putting both albums back on Spotify again for everyone to enjoy. Hi Don great tune once again , similar to Tin-Pan but it did not make me regret not listening to SRV instead . This guy turned it into a different animal and once again great tone to the guitar and a great sound all round . Thanks Don.♥
