"project for highschool" Bruh, I'm a freshman, and you're using that time for a great project, while I'm in quarantine playing Doom Eternal and crying on the bed while eating pizza bagels
I thought this was going to be something scary for a moment and then Jack Stuaber started playing and I felt like I was being trolled, this animation is amazing! The song, the lighting, the faintest hint of a story making itself present, I really adore this video!
flying underpants I go to a high school that has a animation program in which you get a class to learn about animation and the programs used to create it but having that type of help (while it does help) it is not going to get you near the level of skill that this person has and also I haven’t learned crap because the teacher has been absent the entire year
If we went to the same high school- *i would so desperately want to be your friend because you seem like such a cool and invested person- I have never seen anyone my age this serious about animation and it’s so gosh darn refreshing- for that reason I would want to be your friend-*
Wow, you're amazing. This is not high school level. This is almost professional. Like, nearly-graduated animator. You're incredible. I really hope you get a chance to hang out with some professionals, and they can recommend you to the top people in the industry. You're an awesome person, and I really hope to see you go far. Peace be with you.
This doesn’t looklike a project for highschool at all, it looks like something someone would do for an actual music video, or for an exam at some high-end academy. Child, you never fail to impress me. Keep going at it and you’ll be an amazing animator in the future!!!!
Man is this great. As a traditional artist I should definitely learn how to draw on digital to do this amazing shit. This is just... awesome, especially for a project for high-school. Speechless, really.
Ten seconds in and i was already like "wow this is AMAZING". My favorite things about this animation are the lighting, the camera angles and the perfect timing with the song. Great job!
Meanwhile I'm in 11th grade, I want to become an animator, but I haven't laid my hand on any digital program yet [due to money constraints], and I might be able to draw people because that's all I've practiced all these years but I'm useless for everything else. I know I'm not in an impossible situation but I'd like to know how so many young people reach advanced level so fast while I got so stuck in high school and went through art block for 4 years, it makes me feel so discouraged that I have this standard to live up to, like I should've got here already.
i totally get how you feel - i often feel discouraged too for the same reasons, but the truth is that everyone moves at their own pace and it's nothing to be ashamed of ! if you have access to a computer, there a lot of free 2D animation softwares that you can download such as pencil 2d. also flipaclip, animation desk and stop motion studio on the app store work pretty well if you have access to a mobile device or tablet. best of luck to you :)
WaiT- For normal highschool? Like, a normal project but you put THIS much effort into it?! What was the project about then :0 It was probably an art project- Or was it for an “art” highschool (I don’t know if thats a thing) and this is expected? I would’ve thought this would be for college or something!
You just took my breath away. I am stunned by your ability, I genuinely believed this to be one of those end of year college animations before I read the description. You are a wonderful, amazing, artist. Even though this may only be one piece I've seen from you, please, know that your talent is something of rarity and I hope you continue on this path. Please, never stop creating❤❤❤
Amazing like always, I'm trying to piece it together, the only thing my dumb brain thought of is that when it shows the hallway and its flashing in a pattern it's like the pattern when you go in a tunnel on a train idk
I remember watching this for the first time as it was posted and was absolutely blown away. Needless to say i still am after finally being able to find it again
Amazing, I’m planning on studying animation. My way of thinking is so weird, I’m wanting to do animation so I can live up to my expectations and dreams but...I also want to do it to impress a person that has been my inspiration, for him to just say “wow that is amazing” and truly be impressed. And I also want to make comics.... and uhh why does the guy also kinda look like Lance from Voltron lol.
This is SO heckin beautiful It looks the way that Joji’s music makes me feel The colors are rich and suit the atmosphere brilliantly and I am left begging for more I hope you’re still into art because this was amazing
when those little synth noises come in at 0:45 it feels so eerie and amazing as if the ceiling lights are resonating that sound. awesome video crazy amazing work
UUUhhhh hey sorry can we talk about how FREAKING AMAZING THE LIGHTING IS?????? The way you animated the lighting on the train so accurately and the timing of the lights in the tunnel are all C R I S P Y oh my god heck, your timing in general is really good! I love the backgrounds, too- the colours enhance the music really well, and the level of detail on the train is really good
[reading the desc.] “...a project for HIGH SCHOOL”?! your skills are beyond that level!! you conveyed the loneliness and sadness in this song so well i got chills!!
Omg this has to be one of the most emotional animations I’ve seen in a while. You literally interpreted the feelings so well, especially since I’m a huge fanatic of joji and I feel like this captured the essence of the music. Keep up the good work!
wow this is stunning. I can't believe this was for a highschool project this is incredible! beautiful work skdf;ldfa the colours, the lighting, just everything gah amazing
I think this represents the breaking of the 4th all and the illusion of free will. See how the character is carefully drawn and animated. We're slow dancing in the dark because we can't see where we go and we can't control it
