I just found this song like 2 days ago. This is amazing. The raw emotion captured here is beautiful. When the final chorus comes on I lose my shit. Incredible song
Normally when listening to bands unknown to me I can pick the inspiration behind their music straight away, but you guys, you picked it all, grounded it, moulded it, waxed it, buffed it, sliced it, cooked it and turned it into something very unique. Keep at it guys!!!
Is the implication that pavement is untalented? Open your ears and give it another listen. Slow mass is a different breed. A breed that seemed extinct. Original. Not much more to it. They rip
Coming back to this song after the years makes me cry. its so moody and beautiful. Mercedes' voice is so pretty. Josh the drummer is killing it with every hit of the stick, and Josh and Dave are melting my face off with the Gibsons. i love this song so much. I'm going to get off my computer and put my Treasure Pains vinyl on.
Lyrics: I'll never fall asleep what's here is ours for keeps with you I'll never know how much my fear can grow our eyes will turn and repeat my hands will fill the creek and you're here alone I'll never fall asleep and nothing's ever cheap outfitted for my needs I'll never turn my cheek our eyes are joy and peace my mind is full of deceit and you'll find me I'll never fall asleep what's here is ours for keeps with you I'll never know how much my fear can grow.
solid session! does that V4 that the les paul is running through belong to the band or the studio? just trying to figure out if the V4 is something i can take on the road or if it's fragile
+Darrien Day It's my amp. Extremely heavy, but sounds awesome. the Pros and Cons are about equal. Would rather have a lighter amp, but don't want to get rid of the v4.
Is this band from Chicago? I wanna say Evan Weiss suggested this band on an article his recommendations were featured in, but I can't remember exactly. Either way this was nuts, loved it.
Though, I totally understand your thoughts. Josh Parks has a very similar guitar style and their quiet to heavy transitions are on par with Best Witches.
@@Jackson-xq2et Yeah, that must've been what I was picking up on. At the time I made that comment, my brain hadn't made the My Dad connection. I'm surprised it took me so long to find these guys. So good.
