I thought it was a banger. It had more style than substance for sure but the vibes were emaculate. It's the creepiest movie I've seen all year.

@@brittyn Same. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. Have you seen Immaculate? It's very similar to The First Omen.

@@sprcrzy110 yes, I saw Immaculate first but didn’t care for it much so I put off watching First Omen until it was shown its final night! So glad I didn’t miss it on the big screen. Immaculate just didn’t grab me as much, and I don’t think Sydney Sweeney is believable in that part…

I have mixed feelings after seeing it in the theater. The character barely challenges himself and is literally trapped in his own regrets. It's a good horror movie for people who lack any motivation to be themselves and chase their dreams. It's an interesting movie, but wished I saw it at home instead. If you want to see a great indie film, support Hundreds of Beavers.

I got into a funny back n forth with a fan of the movie, i was told that i "needed" to support the movie even if i didn't like it and how its not a horror movie, it just uses the genre to subvert expectations (?). In all my years I've never seen a movie so self-important that if its bad, id have to prop it up. That mindset can kill a genre for a decade.

I saw that a he/she directed it. Perhaps that's why the world has to like it. Propaganda purposes.

@@JH-ts4uq That actually makes sense. I was just hoping it would be good, it was on another level with the cinematography and atmosphere, but that couldn't even save it from it's fragility, It felt like if i looked at the movie the wrong way, it would start crying.

I love A24 and I love their horror, but I'm not fond of their weirder films like Lamb where nothing happens most of the films run and it doesn't make too much sense. Along with In Fabric, jesus what a pretentious film that was all aesthetics and no substance that people claim you don't get. I love big pretentious films, but they need to have something behind them, like damn Beau is Afraid could be called "pretentious" but it has sooo much personal flavor to it and meaning. This movie already was putting up red flags for me since the director made world fair before this, and that movie is nothing but huffing your own farts the movie

Watched the first 10-15 minutes...asked myself what TF I was watching...stopped, got online for info... I guess this "masterpiece" was done for the 0,02% of the population...so, enjoy...being in the rest 99,98% I think I'll go watch something else...

This movie is trash and complete bull … they’ve done this story in the early 2000s and it’s a music video Kenna hell bent or mark osbornes more short film watch that instead
