Slowdive - Slomo (Live on KEXP) 

Slowdive is simply one of the greatest bands in music history. How a band could return after a 22-year absence and make an album as great as anything they've done, is so unfathomable and triumphant-it's nothing short of a miracle. What a gorgeous song!

I still can't believe Slowdive returned after so many years and made a kick ass album. That shit just doesn't typically happen.

The intro is a masterpiece itself.

The recording team for KEXP should start a production company that produces and records live performances!

Rachel Goswell's synthesizer work on this recording outdid the album version. Nice and moody. Wonderful performance by an extremely gifted group of musicians.

This song is a masterpiece, and the live version is better than the album. Can't begin to describe how much I love this song (and album) and how much its helped me over the past few years.

My go to band for complete serenity and music immersion of the beautiful expression of the instrumental merging with the voices snaps me out of pain, irritation, grief, panic attacks, PTSD, or anxiety. I feel stronger and relaxed and ready to face my feelings after a listen. Plus, I just enjoy their chill music. They are fantastic. I love them so.

A couple of years ago I went to see them live. This song came on and it was just perfect. I went by myself and at one point I told the dude next to me that if I was dreaming and I'd want this to be the soundtrack music. Without skipping a beat the dude responded with , "How do you know you're not dreaming right now?" I instantly melted on to the floor into other realities.

Such a brilliant soundtrack for this overthink night caused by the pendemic...

the only word that does justice to the art on display here is - sublime! From the balance in the mix, to the engineering and blending of the guitars; the space created in the song, to the lyrics, to the performance, to the atmospherics - seriously, no band should be this good, and yet, here we are.
