I like to think Huntsman spiders know where the door is in order to escape and that's the reason they always chill on the door/lid of enclosures. A creepy belief.

I watched another video that showed some lichen huntsman spiders being fed, after catching the roach it span webbing to help it feed. If the spider were to drop the roach it wouldn’t fall to the ground, so they don’t have to worry about ever dropping it. Really incredibly smart behaviour from creatures with such small brains.

The tarantulas like to build a home so they are happy in small area but I feel the huntsmen are trapped in a confined space, a huntsman will run across the wall in two seconds and be gone, they like to cover large distances and hunt prey .

Thanks a lot for these feeding action with the amazing hunstman spiders ! Next time if you may, try to drop the roach on the substrate for, as you said, these spiders use their top vision to spot preys, they will rush to the roach on a longer trajectory making the slow motion even more exciting ! TSHIRT IDEA ALERT!!! 🧥👚🧥👚🧥👚🧥 I imagine a cute but large spider species, and him/her standing there with the front legs in the air (technically a threat pose, but in this idea in my head it's just an attitude pose lol!) With the caption I came up with underneath saying "DUDE! You call yourself The Dark Den!? .. Then why is there so much frickin' light!?" Or something along those lines 😂😂
