I'm sure he's a fantastic power hitting softball player. But, the weight transfer advice from front-to-back foot completely destroys any and all techniques learned by baseball players. When trained properly, there's no way you would be able to catch up to a fastball with all of your weight on your front foot. In fact, any change up or breaking pitch would make you swing and miss. Best advice, keep your weight on your back leg/hip, and swing fast (not hard) leading with the hands and winding up with a full extension.
Hence, Slow pitch... I'm definitely no pro and have just begun to figure out my slowpitch swing since I grew up playing fastpitch. But it makes complete sense to me to derive more power to meet the ball. In Slowpitch hitting you need to bring more power to the ball, it's not just about making connection because the ball has so little momentum from the "slow" pitch... And it seems to take for. ev. er. for the ball to cross the plate :/ :/
