this is such an amazing project , its ambitious but amazing for everyone wanting to try sls tech , ur doig an amazing job mate well done , can't wait to see it finished :)
I don’t think your getting enough credit here man… you have been at this, consistently, for a while.. not only that, your documenting it and sharing everything, for us little guys, the hobbyist, to be able to put together an sls machine like this.. there is NOTHING like this out there, anywhere.. you have the Sinterit kit, but with a sticky note sized build chamber, for $5000… This needs more attention. I’m following this closely.. once you get the firmware worked out, and your documentation together, I’ll be putting one together for sure.
I've worked on 3D Systems Spro60 and sls5100 systems. Does your build platform have gaskets? Is the system going to have nitrogen purge the oxygen out of the build chamber? Any questions feel free to reach out to me
Hi, yes it has got gaskets in both powder reservoir and build chamber. As for nitrogen - no, it intends to be small and simple hobby machine, so I have to make tons of compromises.
Do you plan to try to market and outsource a ‘kit’ for this build? Getting a 3rd party to put together and sell a kit isn’t too involved.. and you make money off them.. busterbeagle3d did that with his mk2 benchtop injection molding machine.. At least a ‘hardware kit’ with the frame/extrusion, and the aluminum plates/panels, pre-cut, drilled and tapped, for those of us without a CNC Laser cutting machine.. 😏
