If you have a fun sleepover planned soon, you’re going to love these slumber party activities on this episode of Let’s Play, Hello Kitty! During this video, we will show you how to make supercute, and super sweet (literally), homemade chocolate ice cream bowls using balloons AND homemade ice cream!
We hope you’re excited to try this out at home, it’s a fun activity to do with family and friends any time. See below for all the materials and step-by-step directions for the activities outlined in the video. Are you ready for a fun treat? Let’s go!
Materials Needed:
Balloons
Dipping chocolate/candy melts
Half and half
Vanilla
Milk
Sugar
Salt
Ice
Your favorite ice cream toppings
A large plastic resealable bag
A small plastic resealable bag
A towel
Parchment paper
A mixing spoon
Homemade Chocolate Ice Cream Bowl
Steps:
(00:52) Step 1: Start by blowing up or pumping up the balloon(s) and tie a knot
(01:05) Step 2: Melt the candy melts in the microwave on low heat
(01:13) Step 3: Dip the balloon in the chocolate after it has slightly cooled down
(01:20) Step 4: Take out the chocolate-dipped balloon and place it onto the parchment paper
(01:30) Step 5: Put the chocolate balloon into the fridge for 30 minutes
(01:32) Step 6: Pop the balloon and slowly peel away from the chocolate
Wow! How delicious does that look? Now, it’s time to make some ice cream!
Homemade Ice Cream
Steps:
(02:06) Step 1: Pour 1 cup of milk into a mixing bowl
(02:09 ) Step 2: Add ½ cup of sugar
(02:15) Step 3: Add ½ tsp of vanilla
(02:20) Step 4: Mix the above ingredients together with a mixing spoon
(02:23) Step 5: Pour mixture into the small resealable plastic bag and seal it up tight
(02:38) Step 6: Take the large resealable bag and put ice into it and add salt
(02:51) Step 7: Put the bag of cream inside the big bag of ice and add some more ice and salt; zip it up tight
(03:09) Step 8: Wrap the bag up into a cloth and shake for 5 minutes
(03:34) Step 8: Scoop it up and add it to your chocolate bowl
(03:48) Step 9: Top your ice cream with your favorite toppings
