Even though the boss fight is easy, the panda king still is pretty tough when you think about it. It only takes four hits from slys cane to beat Raleigh and Mz. Ruby, and only about 12 to crush clockwerks head. Panda king took like 50 cane shots, which is legit pretty impressive.

I just realized that this battle, specifically the end of it, is the reason why Bentley chooses him for recruitment for the Cooper vault job. He’s the only member of the fiendish five, who doesn’t give away the identity of the next member, and where to find them. Bentley recognizes loyalty when he sees it.

Panda King's level was originally going to be the first level. That is why it is such an easy boss fight. His page from the Thievius Raccoonus was a "climb move". For proof, the information is in the Sly Cooper: ATTR demo.

what could be interesting as a story enhancement is they involve jing king. as the cooper gang are planning to go against the panda king, jing king would find them and give her experience about her father. she would tell sly that the panda king was never always evil and that he was once a devoted father who cared for his family. however, after the firework incident, he became more distant from his family and became the tyrant he is today. Jing King advises Sly "if you're going to face my father, please understand why..." at the point in which the panda king is about to be defeated by sly, sly doesn't give the finishing blow, instead takes the pages,walks off and says "He's all yours Jing". the Panda King looks to see his daughter standing in a distance. Jing approaches her father with sadness in her eyes, the panda king is shocked and reflects on what he has done. "I... what have i done..." Jing hugs her dad pleading him to stop the madness he has caused. The panda king starts to cry and apologizes to his daughter. the panda king decides to turn himself into Interpol and to seek redemption for his crimes in hopes that one day he would do anything to make for the troubles he has caused to Sly Cooper.

this boss fight could of been harder if he didnt announce all of his attacks before hand and if the booming chop would of been faster

I must admit, I really want a remake of this game and the Panda King's boss fight is one of the main reasons for that. For the second-to-last boss of the game and high-ranking member of the Fiendish Five, Panda King is so god damn easy! Not to mention I think more could've been done with his "Flame Fu" to make his fight much more fun; like perhaps after you damage him for the first time, Panda King summons a wall of fire around himself to prevent you from attacking him, forcing Sly to dodge his attacks until he becomes vulnerable again, and he gains new ranged attacks such as causing fire to erupt from the ground (potentially hitting Sly from underneath) and having some of his guards shoot fireworks at Sly.

The intro of the Panda King reminds me of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air with Will Smith. 0:52

His intro is, hands down, is the best one out of all the five in the first sly cooper!

His intro was such a welcome relief after that dark and depressing atmosphere that was Mz. Ruby and her level. Man it was refreshing lmao.

When you fight him, use slow motion when you dodge his attacks. It's so cool! This is the easiest boss fight in the game too!

I remember when I fought this boss for the first time, I beat him on my first go without taking a hit. That’s because I played Sly 3 a lot long before playing Sly 1.

This battle might be easy compared to the other boss battles, but it's pretty fun. You're basically fighting a kung fu panda with firebending. Which is just awesome.

@Sereniama well you fight him once but he is not really a boss. In addition, you can also controle him in a pair of missions using fireworks and all that stuff, it´s awesome

Sly 1 is the best Sly game imo. Liked the point A to point B design more than the jobs in the sequels. Also the different environments. In the sequels, you do all missions in the same area, so it has to be kinda neutral to fit all missions. But here, the areas can be diverse since they are all designed for different kinds of stages

Wonder if any fans think Panda King is a descendant of Po from Kung Fu Panda.

Well the bosses were a part of the Klaww Gang, a group of villains similar to that of The Fiendish Five. As for the locations, in my opinion, they were diverse, despite being a little repetitive. Also, i can understand how someone can feel as though they are standing still while gathering, but, having been taken near the end of the game, the Clockwerk parts were the foundation of which the in-depth story mentioned in my last comment was based on.

Oh so this fight is LITERALLY the same as the one from Sly 3, oh wait nevermind, when Sly battles him in Sly 3 it's in Panda King's mind so it's a sort of memory of this fight.
