sooman is really that close to all of his artists, that even if they already move to different agencies they are still in a good relationship with him (even buying him dinner). Maybe the reason why he doesn't want to be the CEO of SM Ent is that he's too soft toward his artists. A CEO that is too soft will ruin the company.
SME might have had its ups and downs, and it's fair share of controversy. But the one thing that remained constant, is SM Idols genuine respect they have for former CEO Lee Soo Man and each other, like Family. As an observer, I see SM Family as the most close to each other.
