Kim Yeon Woo himself said that Onew sings better and that he can hit higher notes more comfortably after the surgery. And when you say vocal range, every one has it. We only have limitations.
I love KRY voices, different texture and style but when they sing together, they produce a wonderful sound. THEIR CHEMISTRY IN PERFORMING IS TRULY EXCEPTIONAL!
Mathematic wise, it's impossible for KRY to be the best pal, they don't have enough experience, by the time they've been active is nothing compare to TVXQ. Don't be stupid and blind by the fans, TVXQ 5 has been singing in small venues nonstop for 4 years straight to get through Japan. And they are also based on acapella style, meaning their vocal background is much more solid than KRY.

But with the real ones that performed for a living, Shannon doesn't have a chance. Lee Sun Hee or Sohyang, And Shannon is trained in classical music singing so she has been training for years. She's not new. However, when comparing plain singers that didn't went through classical form of training, it's usually the time after debuting do they train the most.

Changmin is held as "ONE" of the best vocalist in SM by fans because he is in the early gen of kpop and can hit high notes where infact he is the weakest vocalist or one of the weakest in the vocal line of SM. And we are talking about idol singers not singers( lee younghyun, sohyang) and shannon is better than luna, taeyeon, eunji etc.
Many singers can reach high note easily, many singers have better singing technic but singer who can reach my heart through my ears is one and only: Yesung!

Kyuhyun makes it look so easy, you can not see any effort, it just makes it so natural. His voice is so soft and powerful at the same time, not for nothing was chosen by the experts as the best singer of all the idols of the kpop.
I love all of them, but when it comes to SuperJunior's vocals they always make me KRY😭💙. Also in my opnion, Kim Heechul is one of the most powerful and underrated vocalists ever(just check out his live performances, for example Sweet Dream)😏

Look ahmin (K-pop vocal analysis) was wrong on alot but kyuhyun is technically the best but I consider jonghyun second since he was just a bit better than ryeowook

Junsu is the vocal king, I really like Chen, Yesung and Ryeowook voice, but I think that TVXQ (Junsu, Jaejoong and Max) are so AMAZING! They are winners for me in all rounds.
My favorite vocalist is Jonghyun, because of his amazing and powerful voice! Also his way of singing was unique, passionate, brave and savage with swag! the colour of his voice had a personality that I can't describe. RIP dear Jonghyun, we lost a vocal god.
Most Stable Notes : Kyuhyun/Kim Jaejoong Most Powerful Notes : Kim Junsu/Yesung Most Stylistic Notes : Chen/Jonghyun Most Versatile Notes : Kim Jaejoong/Jonghyun All of them are great . But these are qualities I found among them.
Being a singer is not just about technique, but emotions and feels as well. U can belt the note however u want but without emotion it'll feel empty. And for me, individually Yesung. Dont strain ur voice too much babe, i love ur voice, wanna hear it for a very long time. If as a group, tv5q and then followed by KRY. But SM is the home of vocal kings. Thats the fact.

Suju having KRY really makes them unbeatable, but SM just has so many talented powerhouse vocalists it's insane Jonghyun's breath control is godlike. Baekhyun has improved so much.
Why I feel ghoosebump for Jaejoong & esp Changmin high note? I think it bcoz he gave his powerful & the emotion... So, we get used to listen CM sing in high note, but it feels brand new for CM sings in low note or softly like in LOVE LINE. So, I love that song very much. And many thanks for respecting the former of tvxq, even JJ & JS didn't sing tvxq songs in this video.
Really appreciate all these amazing vocalists. But for the record, singing is not all about belting high notes. Love EXO D.O.'s voice and NCT's Doyoung. As a group, I think SHINee has the most diverse and unique vocal tones not just in SM but in the whole of KPop. Love them.
Mine : 5th : Chen 4th : Jonghyun 3rd : Junsu 2nd : Kyuhyun 1st : Jaejoong Jaejoong & Kyuhyun has the most stable vocals but i prefeer Jaejoong because he's versatile vocalist ( rock,ballad,pop,jazz), Junsu 3rd because i like his husky & powerful voice and Jonghyun is one of the best vocalist in SM and 5th Chen because he has the most high range vocals
In my humble opinion, I can say that Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, Chen, and Jonghyun have the more stable voices, wide range voices, and well techniques. For TVXQ it must be Xia Junsu who is the best, Jaejoong was also great. But the fourth (Kyuhyun, Ryewook, Chen, Jonghyun) are really amazing among SM vocalist. Hopefully NCT would include in the next video like this. Among NCT member, Taeil has the best, Doyoung and Xiaojun was also more stable now. They're still kids behind this SM vocalist lines, my boys are also great. B-but even I really love my boys (NCT), how can Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, Chen, Jonghyun sing like that? They amaze me. I got goosebumps lol. They are the best SM vocalist right now. SM really have the best vocalist in this industry.

Baek and Chen are just just straight under it but won't be for so long. They're really talented and have been singing for a good minute now, maybe that's why kry is insane, they've been doing this for over 15 years I mean damn. Taeil and Doyoung are amazing compared to that they've only been public for 5 years. And Taeil getting a solo ots as a trainee I think is sick. To have such deep, cool, raspy voice reaching such hight notes that do not sound pitchy at all is simply a masterpiece 💕 When he sings ballads it really sounds heartbreaking, when he sings pop-rock it's so powerful and strong it will blow you away, and when he sings bubbly retro pop it magically sounds warm and cute despite his natural cool tone ☁️🥰

People usually forget Shinee Onew and he remains unnoticed because of his effortless and calm aura.. and Taemin gets overshadowed because of his dancing skills.. SM vocals are power vocals but this list according to me remains incomplete without Onew and Taemin.
Yes both Onew and Taemin have wonderful vocals as well. But if both of them to be added to this list they would be at the bottom two and might not be on the list on most of the higher notes. Not to be rude but some of those high notes are just crazy and it’s difficult to compete amongst SM Vocalists itself. Peace✌️
For me : 1st Yesung💙 2nd Kyuhyun 3rd Ryeowook Conclusion: KRY is the best among them (for me) But I admit, there is no bad voice in SM. Proud to be a SM stand ❤️
One thing I REALLY like about YESUNG is that his voice is always pleasant to the ear. Most of the male singers tend to become annoying and unbearable while hitting very high notes and their voice just sounds like a fire alarm. But Yesung's voice is always smooth and never annoyingly piercing. It is simply a very beautiful voice that never gets on your nerves or gives you a headache.
Chen has the most clarity in the mid belts, and most control in the upper belts. Kyuhyun is the best overall vocalist here, with Chen in second, but Chen really shines with high notes in particular.
And Chen also has the most power with no cracks in his upper register he also exceeds in the lower register reaching baritone notes lower than his co-member Chanyeol
