He just needs to work on balancing out time for studies, family and farming. They should not take away farming from him though cause it's actually a good and healthy hobby which he may permanently have as a job when he grows up. People need to be more open that blue collared jobs (i.e. farming, mechanic) can be just as good as white collar jobs (i.e. office employee). They shouldn't laugh at him just because he's an old soul. He's actually a pretty interesting kid ☺

yes and smart farmer actually could make more money than regular office employee.. just look at him, at that young but can already make money on his own and buy equipment. He'll be successful in the future if he keeps that passion..

lilyloli i agree with you here in my country people having a blue collared job are not seen really well the government had to came to not give another chance to people who their grades are under the pass mark. these people had to find a job in manufacture jobs i think it's pretty good to make a job like a farmer or something similar because they are really useful for people ( i'm not saying that white collar jobs are useless but they can't give you eggs chicken and vegetables to eat ) so i'd like people to stop thinking in a bad way of these admirable people whom i respect very much for their hard work cuz i wouldn't be really easy for them

I agree. Over half of my family have been involved in the farming industry and I can see her worries as there are lots of things that effect a farmer's success that they cannot control like weather and disease. However it can be a very rewarding job and if he studies he can learn new ways to make his farming techniques more efficient. I hope he makes it in the future.

I agree that studying is great, I personally want to study way beyond phd. But the thing is: not everyone is like this. Some people just want a really simple life connected to nature in the simplest way. So yeah, is important to get a basic education, but I dont think he should do it beyond if is not what he is interested. Living in a simple way is great too.

This is non sense, a friend of my dad only graduate from high school, guess what? He has an employee who graduate from the best technology school in my country. School is too boring btw, they have standard which not suited for some special person like this boy.

this boy is amazing. He found what he deeply in love with. his singing ability is awesome (for 8th graders, though I don't know much about trot music but I like his voice.) He just has to manage his duty a lil bit, in both of his dream and his school things. then after he's done with his study then he could fully follow his dream.

baebae He's in grade 8, so I think they're using the korean age in captions; since everyone uses Korean age. So in western age I think he's 12 or 13, so it's even more insane.

I think the mom would be okay with him farming if he tried hard in school as well. If you watched her expression during their part in the show, you can see she looks really worried. He isn't trying in school and doesn't want to and that is what is making her worried. He needs to have a back up plan but he is only thinking about farming. It's not that she's totally against him farming.

You have to think about from his mothers point of view. He is focusing solely on farming instead of balancing studying, farming and social time. Plus it's also good to have a good education in case something where to go wrong.

Amelia Oprean thank you 😁. everytime i skipped class when i was in high school, my mother will scold me and say " do u want to live with your pigs and chicken forever? do u want to dig soil your whole life? farm can be hit by massive typhoon, animals can be steal and infected but EDUCATION CAN NOT! u maybe like it for now but how about your future children? " and i answered back " then why buy me pigs to take care off? and why send mo to farm during summer vacation? ( am quit evil when i was in my teens 😂 ) ~ wahh memories thou, 😊 thanks to my nagging mother, if its not because of her, i am not here watching hello councelor.. lol ( i maybe busy digging if i did not listen to her hehe )

i dont think making fun of physical appreance is good tho..often some people make jokes about fat person saying stuff, thinking they are being funny, well actually they are not..it might hurt their feelings tho..they might be smiling outside, goes along with the jokes, but inside, i am sure they feel uncomfortable when others making fun of their apprearance

I don't see it as body shaming though. He's just pointing out a fact that the cultivator might break if they all ride it together, he didn't say they shouldn't ride it. It's true that they are rather big sized, and that is not necessarily a bad thing. He's not even saying they are ugly because they are big sized or anything

I like this kid! Honestly speaking, he is so passionate of what he does and he is so genuinely into the trot music. Yet here i am at 22 years old and still uncertain of what to do with my life, i graduated and all and a licensed proffesional and employed but how i wish i had his vigour and passion. Idol!

I admire people like him who maintain a healthy obsession towards their dream. I kind of understand the mother though, if he studies more he'd be an even better farmer, a prodigy at that and will be of help to the local agricultural industry. combine his skills and studying he'll do an amazing job in promoting farming for the youth. I wish there are more of him in our generation, it's so interesting having to talk to him. He's such an ideal grandchild!

auntie, ur son sang so well why were you embarrased with him singing trot? :) it's very nice to see young people singing old songs, meaning the culture of it will be passed on and wont die soon as long as there are people who treasure it, just like ur son. He should be treasured. Now he's running a vlog called "태웅이네" and sharing his farming days, guys! He's also appearing in tv alot! I can say he's already has his own future preferences and he's doing well with his activities. He's such an inspiration for his age, I believe he can be 'someone' in the future.

I would like to recommend him an animation called Gin no Saji (Silver Spoon) it's an animation who shows the live of agricultural vocational high school. I wish I'm was having a focused direction like him when I'm an 8th grader.

I don't see what's wrong with a boy having a dream to be a successful farmer. People should stop imposing their dreams on others, expecting ppl to live according to societal norms. Just be more considerate towards others and respect their dreams. This boy doesn't seem to be purely passionate and obsessed like most other issues in this show. He has rationale and logic behind his decisions. Basically the Mom just wants him to stop because farming "has no future and won't earn a lot". The Sister, seriously, very noisy like a construction site. Zzz. He just seems like a really unique boy that has a dream, satisfied with the things he had and find joys in his current lifestyle. I support this boy.

But I do agree he should focus on studying, eg get a major in agriculture studies. But on the other hand, he's probably learning a lot of "useless and irrelevant stuff" that he thinks he doesn't need, hence he's not interested in studying.

Truly amazed and envious at how passionate and good he is at what he's doing. He wants to be a farmer and he's dedicated to his passion. He takes care of his own animals and even earns from it. He already has the knowledge of how to take care of his animals, it'd be great if he gets into an agricultural highschool. He'd be a great farmer

After watch some episode from hello counselor..i will come back to see this. It's funny. And the boy is charming. I think i already watch it more than > 10 lol. Btw he is starring on variety show, Sound of grazzing grass.
