@@derekweinerttv4163 some people don't have fathers in their lives. The male figures they do have around are only a little older than them and going through the same situation. Camaraderie and common circumstances can make you do crazy things. If they aren't following an example then they're usually coerced into with the promise of of enough to look after themselves and their family. It's like a pyramid scheme for the streets, only difference is there was a time in which there was at least a little loyalty amongst thieves so to speak. Nowadays everybody wants to be a boss without putting in any work and it's all about the clout/looking out for yourself. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to glorify the gang activity of the past. It's not the life to get into, but when things were "organized," (compared to today's standards at least) there were ACTUAL gangs. Not a bunch of kids killing kids while running around showing off their colors and trying to make up their own little streets cliques. Thankfully I had both of my folk until I reach adulthood. I took to writing raps and making beats, a lot of people around me fell down that same path though. It's easier than most people think to get entranced in the call of it all.
