Hi Josephine, the balcony is facing west or sunset. :) usually the sun shines in its peak for about 6-8 hours, so sunlight is sufficient for plants. The buri shade protects the plants from the sun around lunch to sunset. :)
Hi Eviano, thanks for the tips, unfortunately we can't install hanging curtains as per our condo rules and regulations, even plants should have certain height only. Privacy is not an issue on the sides since we are on the top floor, just a place to relax and work if needed . 😊❤️
Yes liwanag we have another space in the rooftop we converted the drying area to our vegetable area.( Hope we can vlog it soon after the lockdown) Our balcony are for ornamental and functional plants mostly due to space constraints. 😊❤️
Did you make the hanging wooden laptop table or bought it somewhere? This and the idea of a loose wooden pallet to conceal your aircon is amazing! Although I'd say to put a planter below each plant otherwise the water droplets might get into your machine
I guess the Outdoor units are actually sealed machines since those are also kept in open (at least here in India), where they are regularly exposed to all seasons and weather conditions. We don't own an AC, so I might be wrong.

Hi Nanette, all the wood are treated twice before assembly. :) It withstand typhoon Rolly and Ulysses last 2020. We just need to brought in the plants but the rest remained in the balcony during the typhoon :)
You can only sit one person at the bench because you put too many plants in front of it. I'd get a smaller seat that you can rotate against the side of the balcony so it's less cramped and doesn't block the person sitting at the table.
Plants under that wooden table will not do well, they already has reduced lightening from the cover on the side of the fence. Jammed plants in front of the bench do not allow you to sit comfortably...
I think it would be nice if you could educate us on where to buy stuff and all.😊 Some might get inspired of your transformations but doesn't know how to make it happen.
The pallets were a brilliant idea as was building the \table that hooked over the balcony rail. It looks fantastic especially with all of your gorgeous plants.

We mostly source our woodworks at a local shop, we provide the measurements and shop drawings so everyone has a clear vision of the outcome (more of a collaboration). Mostly all the remaining items are from facebook marketplace, you can find almost everything there now if you prefer it than the slower lazada or shopee. Hope this helps! 😊❤️
