Those are great guitars. The Ibanez LGB-30 (Indonesian mfg'd) George Benson is absolutely Awesome! Ebony fretboard, medium jumbo frets, rosewood or ABR-1 style bridge, gold hardware, Ibanez's vintage '58 pickups, rosewood pickguard, & a case for a pretty reasonable $1,100.00. I bought one last year, & cannot stop playing it. My other guitars are jealous. It's something to check out of you're in the market for a "Hollow Bodied" guitar.👍
I can't agree with you more the LGB-30 is an amazing guitar. The build quality is amazing and the fact that you can an ebony fretboard and the Super 58 pickups makes it even more attractive. The AG75 is slightly even smaller body wise than the LGB-30 which is a little smaller than a 175. Personally, if Ibanez made the AG75 with higher better quality woods and better pickups I would choose that one.
I think it's a very good instrument but that particular instrument if I were to buy it I would (1) change the strings to Flats 11 or higher (2) possibly swap out the neck pickup (who needs the bridge...lol) for a 57 classic, lollar, or seymour duncan 59... and (3) get a good setup. Frets were good, and it is a wonderful size guitar. It played very well but certainly could be upgraded.
@@Minor7thb5 Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm between this, Ibanez Artcore Expressionist AG95QA in walnut and also came across a Loar LH280 which has a very intriguing sound. None of which I can get my hands on to test! I looked at local Guitar Center and 3 other Mom and Pop guitar shops here. This purchase will be based on what I hear / watch on youtube and feedback from folks reviwing it and responding to me on RU-vid and also feedback folks leave on the guitar's website of jazz forums. In terms of looks & sound, the Ibanez expresionist wins the loar is plain jane looking but has an awesome sound. Thanks so much for responding as some reviewers don't respond!
