While inspired by the iconic Gibson Skylark amps from the 1950s and 1960s, this all-new design from renowned amp pioneer Randall Smith and the MESA/Boogie Design Team is handcrafted in Petaluma, California, and delivers vintage tone, reimagined and sets a new bar in tiny amp tone. plug a 3 r 400 dollar guitar into it and lets see how she sounds...

The tubes are PCB mounted which is no bueno. That is cheap construction. The PCB will get cooked by the tubes and go conductive. Repeated pulling and reinstallation of tubes is hard on the board and the solder joints holding the tube sockets to that board. Notice how none of these 'reviews' show the insides of the amps. Built by Mesa, who are the kings of the unrepairable guitar amplifiers, they are not designed to stand the test of time and they are not designed to be repaired. Might sound okay for the time being, but these are not heirloom quality items. They are $500 amps at best, not worth $1500 for a whopping 5 watts. These are not meant for real musicians and could not tolerate gigging or touring.

You can literally buy an original for less money and have the ability to repair it for 6 more decades

Remove the Gibson branding, and you're left with something very low end in construction quality terms. I've cancelled my order as this amp is mostly gimmick.
