Decided to kick of the 2022 California Trout season with a day trip to the southern sierras. I made a video about my last trip to the Kennedy Meadows area but this section was new to me. Nothing big but always fun to practice your precision casting and stealth fishing. Updated the mic so hopefully it sounds a bit better than last time! Thanks

does the pass that connects to big meadow take you down kennedy?

Not too familiar with all the roads between kernville and Kennedy. But if you're talking about Sherman pass, then yes it goes directly to it.

NFFO, did you try tossing that beetle in to see if the goldens like it. I’ve read that trout like beetle patterns. I tie same small foam black ones and I think ants actually work better.

DT I rarely use beetles and ants for some reason. I have a beetle that I use as a dry for dry droppers but ants in almost never use. Prob cause they don’t float as well as others haha. I’ll give them a shot next time.
