@@NamiDolo it’s like at the very beginning when he’s fighting those guard people I forgot their name with those electric rod sticks after when he’s done taking out wolverine’s skeleton
honestly i heard this song for the first time, and i am already loving it, deadpool's dance made it even more super awesome , loved it !!! still hearing it now...........
When the Cavilline pops his claws, he does them one arm at a time, like he did that fist move in Mission Impossible. Looked like a cheeky callback to that role.
I think the subtext of adding in the Mad Max/Furiosa gag was that the last 20th Century Fox X-Men movie derivative was "The New Mutants" in 2020, which starred Anya Taylor Joy. Or maybe that was the obvious part...lol.
@@KatTheKonqueror Deadpool references Gossip Girl AND Blake Lively in the joke: "there are 206 bones in the human body...207 when I'm watching Gossip Girl." 🤣
2:53 What I noticed here was when Deadpool took Nicepool to the donut cart to get "medical supplies", he completely bypassed a pharmacy that had actual medical supplies in it, right next door to the feet store.
On the "meta" tip Rob Liefeld was a "Gossip Girl" super-stan and openly based his 2010 comic character Lady Deadpool on Blake Lively so in fact, Blake is playing herself.
@@graysondraven Was he missing a hand? I thought that was the AoA version but it looked like he had both hands. Course everything happened so fast, I know I need to rewatch it a few times😄
@@bjpalm1994 yeah he was missing a hand, his left to be precise, he even hits deadpool in the face with his stump multiple time before stabbing him with the right unfortunately they did not show the claws coming out of his stump like he has in the comic.
When Wolverine and Deadpool first arrive in the Wasteland, as the camera pans, there is a winged (Thor) helmet along with a variant of Captain America’s shield partially buried in the dirt in the foreground.
4:26 It wasn't a Wrexham AFC logo at all, it was a Welsh flag. He's literally called Welshpool in the credits. However, the guy in the costume is Wrexham AFC forward, Paul Mullin.
there was also a sticker with the logo of Wrexham's biggest rival team in Peter's locker. Also in the bar where Dedpool finds the logan that he keeps, you can see one of the star Wrexham players hanging out in the background in the bar.
I loved the number of references in this movie. The plot was nonsense, but damn if all the jokes and action werent just deliciously gratuitous. The shawarma scene had me rolling. That was my favorite post credits scene in the MCU movies.
Patch Wolverine, Old Man Logan, Wolverine hung on a Cross based of the comics, 90's Wolverine wearing his dark costume, Wolverine variant looking like Henry Cavill just awesome. There is a Secret Wars comics in the void that we see as Wolverine is about stab Deadpool by grabbing him. He teases Lively by mentioning Gossip Girl again I believe in this film.
@@bryant-et4kw I know it's Henry Cavill. What I meant was seeing a variant version of Wolverine and seeing Henry Cavill in that role just crazy. I thought that was also going to be High Jackman.
It took a few hours to sink in but the best hidden joke was after the end Deadpools fight when Peter showed up. The statement was "we all have a peter". Growing up 'peter' was a reference to a guy's junk.
@@theRhayne_BsiQ A friend of mine once he got a good look at Cassandra he was like, "I can fix her." and we also heard someone yell out "NOW HEAR ME OUT."
You missed that Kidpool (the swearing one) is actually Ryan and Blake's 7 year old (at the time of filming) daughter Inez Reynolds, and the little Babypool is their youngest (almost one year old at the time of filming) Olin Reynolds in two cool cameos. In the Deadpool Corp there's also a variant wearing the Welsh flag on his chest ("Welshpool"), which is a reference to Reynolds owning the Welsh football club Wrexham AFC. There's also a mint green variant of Deadpool which could be a reference to Reynolds owning Mint Mobile. Channing Tatum's version of Gambit having no memory of his time before the void is also an easter egg: that movie about Gambit was in the works, but eventually cancelled. Blade's muttering "some fools still tryin' to ice skate uphill" is directly from the Blade films. The variant of Wolverine working on his bike is played by Henry Cavill, who is fan favourite to take over the role of Wolverine. Deadpool's joke that Marvel will treat him better than the guys down the street is a reference to how DC treated the firing of Cavill from his role as Superman.
You forgot that one non-Jackman but a jacked man Wolverine. And Cassandra's sling ring has 2 Infinity Stones attached, maybe indicating it's a variant of Doctor Strange's. Besides Blake, Kidpool is played by Reynolds' son. And the lair where the variant heroes hide has a Scarlet Witch wall from Multiverse of Madness.
@@michaelfisher2524 So my statement still stands tho. Kidpool is still not played by his SON. The article I read stated he was played by The Adam Project actor, but maybe it’s Reynold’s daughter. I honestly don’t care… I just know that his son is not old enough to have played Kidpool.
Of all the things I could have been concerned about, Emma Corrine's portrayal of Cassandra Nova was the only one I cared most about getting right. Her performance was absolutely delightful, and I can't wait to see her take on the X-Men proper.
In the Void, you can see a corner of Doctor Strange’s cloak in Cassandra’s AntMan head. So I assume the magician she got the sling ring from is a Strange variant.
For a long, long time, I have wanted Hugh Jackman, in full Wolverine getup with claws extended, to sing "Oh What A Beautiful Morning" from the musical Oklahoma - preferably with Deadpool on harmony. Oklahoma was the first thing I ever saw Hugh Jackman in
I can't remember the last time I smiled throughout an entire movie, except the last bit where I almost cried. Thanks Ryan, ever since Waiting I guess I liked some of your work haha. Nice to see you nail it. You are now Marvel Jesus.
You also didn’t mention the fact that the sling ring had 2 infinity stones on it. The time stone and the reality stone. Which is how she was able to open a portal to an alternate dimension and through time. Remember in the last Dr Strange film where they said you can’t travel through the multi-verse and that sling rings can only take you to other dimensions or adjacent universes, but not other realities.
There are so many references for this movie. It's nice to watch. He also references his words from the Adam Project and etc. Ryan also references many from the Deadpool games and franchises 😂! Keep it up
Flawless! ***SPOILERS*** This film was everything that Multiverse of Madness (MoM) wasn't (but promised to be). Almost as though Marvel is redeeming themselves by giving fans the Multiverse film they anticipated so much for. I am one of those disappointed fans as I have been watching Marvel since the very first Spiderman film, not to mention the 90s cartoons and PlayStation games. Like MoM there isn't much actual Multiverse hopping, but unlike it; the whole plot is about the Multiverse. MoM destroyed a fan favourite Wanda whereas this film left alone a fan favourite Wolverine and borrowed a different one from the Multiverse. That's what MoM should have done with Wanda. MoM promised to be a cameo fest, but the cameos were rather underwhelming to say the least, and we simply didn't care about too many of them. However, the cameos here were truly fan service and breathtaking, and just when you thought they couldn't do any better, they outdid themselves; I am looking at Chris Evans catching the fans off guard with his double portrayal. Then there's returning legacy actors such as Dafne Keen, Jennifer Garner, Channing Tatum, Aaron Stanford and Wesley Snipes! Anyone absent was either heavily referenced or shown in video. 10/10 from me!
@@Ocapela215 I never knew blade was Marvel, thought it was a sick film though. I was only into the X Men cartoons, and any other characters that appeared in the Marvel vs Capcom game.
@@aritravabanerjee948 They kinda made a joke about that with the six year flashback. May have gone over heads but that's a spider-man homecoming reference. Another movie that's off the timeline. It's also been 6 years since the 2nd one, which (at the end) he changes time. Basically everything is in 2029 after the snap which was a 5 year jump, but Fox universe hasn't caught up.
The references listed here are the ones they literally put in the trailers and talked about before the movie released and are meant for everybody to see without needing any background knowledge
I think the funniest part for me was the Human Torch kept firing Fire at Pyro intill he dry lol. It reminded me of people mocking how Paplatine died to his force lighting and I think Red Letter Media said it was like you are having a good pee and cant stop it. 😂
The sorcerer was Dr. Strange - not only do we see his cape on a table next to her, but Deadpool (at least in the German dub) straight up says "Strange" after she talks about killing him.
You forget to mention the coolest wolverine in the film. The one with longer air and missing one hand. He come from a kind of post-apocalyptic universe with great antagonist. Extremely brutal and fun comics.
I just got done seeing the movie and it was amazing in my opinion. I can’t believe how many people I saw were cosplay is either Deadpool or wolverine and quite a few people dressed up as Deadpool and wolverine it was amazing. I’ll give it a 10 out of 10 you know what I’ll give it a 10 out of 100 because it was amazing. The fights the fucking blood that God bless characters were amazing.
The original comic of Wolverine he caught the hulk; whore his yellow and blue suit before he joined the X-men . He was drill in the Canadian team . And his claws were just Sown into his gloves. He got the brown suit years later as a Xman.
Nerd Overload.....and I love it! This video is a must watch! It might likely not include all of the references but it does a great job of dealing with much of it! I can see possible references that may not be intended!
Missed a pretty big detail even though you mentioned the Sling-Ring twice you don’t mention that the reason it works like it does is because there’s a reality stone on one side and a time stone on the other.
With the sling ring, I feel like it shouldn't work at the end of time, because the portals are only supposed to warp space. Not time or dimensions/realities. But as a reality bending omega level being, she can "just make it work" not a good explanation, but a head cannon that at covers up a plot hole
Note that Jon Favereau (Happy Hogan) was in Daredevil (2003). He was Foggy Nelson. Though this character’s not mentioned. His appearance has a double meaning. He serves as a link between Legacy (20th Century Fox) and current MCU (Disney).
You missed huge detail in the very last scene during dinner just behind deadpool there is Shatterstar and Brad Pitt as Vanisher talking to each other. I mean we never knew that the vanisher was actually in the void all along.
