Perfect - Forget the Beatles and the Stones Steve Marriott' is the voice of the sixties. Steve, Kenney, Ronnie, Ian epitomise the time and place. The music never gets old just makes you feel good
Memories of singing this on the Road to Great Yarmouth Scooter Run , Brum Runners, England's Glory , The Olympics. Some one had speakers in their Tool Box . Great Days 😊🏴🇮🇪🏴🏴
❤My favourite by them is Afterglow of your Love,I just absolutely adore it.I love all of their records though,The Autumn Stone is just stunning, and Song Of A Baker. There isn't one of theirs that doesn't hit the mark.Steve Mariott was on another level,as regards his voice, his guitar playing and surpassing even these, his performing ability. He gave 110% every time he was on show! Led Zeppelin would very much have been improved by him being lead singer, even though I highly rate Robert Plant (who I often see) !The Stones, too should have had him as lead singer,as he is so superior to Mick (creepy) Jagger. The Small Faces were the most underrated band ever.Their songwriting was amazing, let alone their inventiveness and humour. Why aren't they more renowned and revered? I get the feeling they're more of a bloke's band, though I love 'em ! They're in my top 3 of all time.Steve Marriott was an unparalleled singer and performer and it was a damn shame the way he died and when .Much missed.😥
