What are the leather gloves you use on your adventures. You don’t seem to have any issues handling those hot pots and pans. I need some good ones!!

Man I had a Marlin lever action .410 bought new. Had to sell it and the dealer who bought it from me lowballed. Those guns are $1500 if you can find one. Henry makes a sweet version. We used to hire a guide with beagles up in the Adirondacks fir snowshoes

So my question is why don't you have your gun loaded when you start hunting? And the next question is what brand is your 410? Very cool thanks for sharing my friend 🤠
@davidgingerich2230

I agree. Never heard of waiting to load the gun till you see an animal. 😮

Izhevsk Mechanical Plant IZh-18, also called "Baikal" for better sounding name outside Russia. In the USA it was sold under the name Remington Spartan 100.

Finally, someone who carries a single shot shotgun properly ! Really great videos.
@christinamoneyhan5688

How’ that ? Carrying a single shot empty cost him a lot of missed opportunity to get game. A loaded single shot such as his is perfectly safe. Know your firearm being used.
@randaman7098
@randaman7098 6 месяцев назад
A loaded firearm is never safe. I know of an instance where the hammer got tangled in thick brush and discharged. Is a grouse worth the risk ?

How come you don’t keep a shell in your gun? Not giving ya a hard time just curious if there’s a reason
@langdonoutdoors7859
@langdonoutdoors7859 5 месяцев назад
I’m not a big fan of carrying any gun through the woods with a live round in the chamber. Because this is a single shot .410, there is no magazine so if I were to carry a round in the chamber, I would have to rely on the mechanical safety to make sure the gun doesn’t accidentally go off, and that is not a safe practice in my opinion.

@@langdonoutdoors7859 I see, I thought it might have been a Canadian law or something. To each his own everyone can decide what is safe for themselves

I don't know why it is that it seems like all you RU-vid hunters walk around with unloaded guns while hunting ? I have been hunting all my life with many friends, family and some in between, and can't think of one of them that didn't have a loaded gun while hunting ? You snooze you loose !
