I thought this would be a very small Nevada gold mine, but this exploration showed it to be much larger, with 3 levels. The underground workings are not massive like some, but I thought this would be a small operation.
I do so enjoy your day trips in SNV it takes me back in time some 30 years ago armed with a gray 2Dcell flash light along with a big canteen. Thanks for taking me along and the fantastic video productions.
Should you decide to return and explore the lower levels, use extreme caution. The smell you observed could be heavier-than-air gasses that displace oxygen.
Thanks for your change-of-pace report. During your close approach to the last adit, I paid particular attention to the "Danger" sign, and realized that it appears to be a blank license plate -- no embossing except for a depressed spot for a Nevada [yearly?] update sticker. Interesting!
I'm a native southern texas dude raised in a farm up southern Nevada , Logandale, Nevada to be exact , we farned just down the road from Wayne Newtons Arabian Horse Farm, and as or since kids we used to hop on our dirt bikes and just goof around all over the desert , around Lake Mead , all over The Valley Of Fire and all around the southern Nevada desert , as kids we found stuff like arrowheads and ancient pottery around other different stuff all over back in the 70s that are still on display on The Lost City Museum in Overton, Nevada just down the road from Logandale , man , y'all got no idear what yall can find and see in some of the most unlivable areas .... Ps. And one more thing , back in the day we rode our dirtbikes from Logandale all the way to a swimming hole called ROGER'S SPRING'S and used to camp out out there nd at night we used to see lots of wierd lights moving all over the skies , some wierd stuff !! ✌🏻🛸👽🛸✌🏻
Wondering what the brilliant blue mineral is that you see throughout the tunnel. Or are they paint markings? Also, I wouldn't go into a mine without someone staying on the surface to be a potential rescue.
Who knows that smell could be that guy that went missing from RU-vid of a couple years ago the only thing is I don't think smell like that last too long???
There might be water down there and the smell is timber decomposing so its probably hydrogen sulfide gas very deadly especially if it creosote timbers.
Davidrobertson. you follow the ore vein and it it goes vertical then thats the way you dig your main addit. many times you will se smal pockets where the miners dug in to look for new veins or just to explore and see what they find
I like your videos, but I would like to ask that you don't rush through the mines so much. Please give us some looks at the minerals, the miners graffiti, and actually walk to the end of the tunnels so we can see what it looks like instead of just telling us and walking away. I think this would vastly improve how cool your videos are.
Now wait a minute. You said it is a nice day so you put on your pack and decided to just wander. The next sentence you said according to the map there should be a tunnel just up here. If you are looking at a map and planning on a destination, then you are NOT WANDERING
I'm not a minor but I'll tell you if I was ever going to dig a mine it's going to be horizontal in and out, I do not get this going vertical down straight what the hell is that all about, just completely unsafe make everything harder, why not walk into the mountain instead of climb down into it, and of course there is a reason they do that I don't know what it is but it just seems so dangerous and stupid,??? My guess is they have to follow the ore vein???. The videos are cool and everything but you do not want to make that place your grave.!!! 😭
