Can guys pull off smaller jewelry and still have a masculine look? Watch to find out! I definitely think anyone can wear smaller jewelry and still make it look good and masculine. It all depends on how you wear your jewelry. Thanks for watching!

imagine not wearing a necklace that you wanna wear because its too "beta" and caring about what other people think. At that point are you buying it for you or are you buying it so show off to other people. What a shit life to live caring about what others think

I agree that the Subtle look is classy and looks good. Everyone needs to go with what they feel comfortable with and they have to stay on budget. Subtle but solid can be the way to go sometimes. But, if you can afford it, my preference would be for Larger, Thicker, Bolder, pieces.

I usually do not go smaller than 3mm, but I have 3 francos and 3 ropes at 3mm that I wear in different setups. Love their look and never feel they are too small. Great to stack or wear with a pendant.

Most days i rock my 24k, 2mm asian style link with my 24k crucifix from mene, my 22k 2mm dc franco from saints with my 22k mini angel from jacoje... still almost 50g around the neck, low profile and still fly

@ryanblanchard2508 thanks didn't start that way lol... 10k then sold 14k then sold now only 18k-24k, really fell in love with the color and the weight difference
@ryanblanchard2508
@ryanblanchard2508 7 месяцев назад
Same here. No one living in the US starts with high purity. We get the 10k and 14k pushed on us from the beginning so it’s all we really know. Now if you grew up in Thailand for example, they basically only wear 23k or 24k. India is primarily 22k. So where you’re born is definitely a big factor into what purity of gold you wear. Also, most people can’t afford higher than 14k, they like the look and color so they’re happy with it. Once people become more educated, most make the upgrade to 18k. Like you, I sold all my 14k and won’t wear anything less than 18k. Now I own a 22k rope and 22k franco chain, 22k rope and 18k heavy link bracelet. I want my pieces to be at a minimum 75% gold, but I really prefer 91%. But 10k and 14k are good entry points for kids who want real jewelry in my opinion. As a grown adult, I’m not wearing a piece that’s mixed with 42% cheap metals like zinc, nickel and copper. It’s counterintuitive to what gold represents as a rare and precious metal. It’s not the same when you dilute it with other garbage metals.

@ryanblanchard2508 I feel you on that, I also have a 4mm 22k rope from jacoje paired with his half oz coin pendant... also have his 1oz pamp pendant paired with his 6.5mm dc Franco (14k) I'm having a hard time getting rid of lol... this 22k 2mm franco is awesome from saints gold, also have a 5mm 22k Miami cuban from them but they flash plate there 22k with 24k so not sure how I feel about that but love em
@ryanblanchard2508
@ryanblanchard2508 7 месяцев назад
Yeah those diamond cut big franco chains are nice. I had the 5mm from Jacoje but the color was natural 14k and looked so washed out. Sold it to upgrade to 22k and have no regrets. My Jacoje rope and franco that I bought to wear together, both 22 inch in 22k gold, weigh 89 grams total. They look so good together and the color is so much nicer than 14k. They have a true golden color (can’t stand how people describe high karat gold color as orange 🤦‍♂️). I also have a 23 gram 22k rope bracelet from Jacoje so total weight is 112 grams if I wear it all together, which I rarely do unless I’m going somewhere really nice. I don’t daily wear my pieces. Yeah not a fan of top plating solid 22k pieces, that’s just bizarre and totally unnecessary. I’d want that natural 22k color. This discussion has me doubting my most recent Jacoje purchase - 6mm 18k heavy link bracelet at 8 inch that weighs 42 grams. The color is nothing like my 22k pieces. 😅

If you’re just a young kid (12-14 years old) and getting your first chain…. nobody cares how small your chain is. If you’re old enough to have a job though (16 and older)… having a chain like 1.5mm Franco makes you look queer or feminine. Man up to at least a 3mm or bigger.

Just ordered your 2mm D/C Franco at 20” to stack with my 4mm Flat Mariner at 22”. Its a light mariner, 8.28 grams at that length, but the weight, density and roundness of the new franco should compliment it well, especially since it is near 50% heavier despite it being smaller. Definitely getting massive bang for buck with these, mu first stack so easing into it with that mentality. Should be arriving on Friday, I will edit with my opinion when it gets here!

B, have you considered a ‘DIAMOND’ Jacoje Link on say a 6mm and up…? Similar to a Diamond Miami Cuban… Since ‘you’ redesigned the heavy link to have those flat surfaces on the flat diamond ‘cut’ side of the Jacoje it might look crazy iced out… Love your work!✌🏼

My first everyday chain was a 2.1 mm 18inch wheat chain. I have a narrower neck so it’s not quite a choker, but it’s subtle and I’ve had a lot of compliments on it. That said I’m about to pick up a 20in yacht chain in 5.5mm to wear outside the collar an stack them on the back of my neck

Can we get a “classic figaro” vs “figaro” video ? thinking about buying a 4/5mm figaro chain (best size imo) but not sure on if it’s more worth it to get the og figaro or the thicker linked classic , would really appreciate a video on that

I wouldn't dare go under 3mm with a round/box link or 5.5-6mm with a flat link for a low key look. Anything smaller than that on a man is way too dainty imo. Looks passable on cam but irl it's a no go.

Subtle chains are ok as solitaire chains , but even then as a man , a 5mm flat or a 3mm round should be as subtle as we go , and the reason I say if you’re going subtle go solitaire is because when you put a mini pendant on a 1.5-2.5mm chain , it gives a more dainty and feminine look. Imagine shopping at the mall in a 1.5mm Franco and a micro Jesus or Angel pendant and you walk past a guy with an 8 or 9mm Miami Cuban link , that alone would make me wanna upgrade my setup . Here’s a nugget of knowledge for whoever reads this . Gold is an investment , the bigger and heavier your chain is , the more it’s worth. And good jewelers offer 100% credit when you come back to upgrade (obviously you have to get the initial piece from that same jeweler to get that deal)
@nerdbamarich2063
@nerdbamarich2063 7 месяцев назад
I disagree with the part about walking past somebody with a bigger chain. It's all about personal style and how you wear what you've got....I've had A 10.4mm cuban 14k and ended up selling it... I much prefer smaller more personal pieces than something big... I wouldn't feel any type of way if somebody had a bigger chain than me... Bigger doesn't always mean better or that it's going to be worth more if you sell it.. I know plenty of people with big chains that are 10k so in reality it doesn't really matter how big it is. I'd rather have a higher purity in a smaller more dainty piece than something overly gaudy and tacky looking but that's just my personal preference..
