You are so right about the small jobs, they add up. I do them all the time even if its one shrub trim. People talk and I have had more referrals than you can believe. Just do a good job and a good clean-up even if it involves some area beyond your work zone, as people notice the little extra. Also, be friendly and take a few extra minutes to chat with the customer. Thanks for sharing Spencer.

@@metaspencer Nice. That's how it goes sometimes. You're on the way though! I had to abort a rescue last night due to rain/sunset/and some discovered significant decay. Will return when it dries out if it's still stuck. In a massive, very compromised, 150 year old maple. First time having to shut it down. It ended up being a good thing that I totally got my throwline complelely stuck, and ended up climbing up the owners 40' extension ladder to cut it out, which put me at eye level with this huge decay pocket that affected the remaining highest lead I was hoping to use.

I took two small jobs that other tree services never got back to the customers (small dollar jobs) so I took them and they were SO happy I took it, that they recommended me to others its interesting. Ah, no ground crew, no bucket truck! Just a lone tree wrangler! I know what you mean about the super referrer (I am one lol). People who live by the "find a need and fill it" philosophy turn into caretakers of others, always offering help. It's a feel good, mission accomplished thing and can get to be an unhealthy compulsion. Still, when it's the right thing to do it's great! I had a super referrer in my real estate business, then she got her license and started helping people she would have referred to me! Ha! That's ok though, it's like the ultimate referral - do such a good job that people want to do what you do! Thanks for another swell video with chuckles and suspense. Metasuspense! Ha! 🎉😂
