The homeowners worked with Lindal dealer Michael Harris to create a small modern home where they "use every space, every day." The couple start with morning coffee in the living room and move to a cleverly defined office space and attached art studio for daily creative work. An expansive kitchen, a dining area with spectacular views through floor-to-ceiling windows and doors, and a combined guest/TV room provide elegant yet comfortable spaces for relaxing and entertaining. To those who inquired about the cost of this project: According to the designer, the cost for this home would be between $525,000-$575,000, depending on local construction costs, and not including permit or site-prep costs. The home was built in Washington State, which has fairly high construction and permitting costs. not a good idea just throwing a number like that around without qualifying it against the land cost and features and options of the home. break out the land costs, windows, and other site work and this number quoted here will come down quite a bit. whoever posted that number, i am interested now in what you come up with with the break outs. do it.

Including Land you have a pretty penny invested but I’m sure you are enjoying your beautiful home ..... How is the maintenance with respect to keeping it clean? There are a lot of windows!

Yes, walls of glass are part of the signature Lindal look! Any regular window cleaning company should be able to clean the windows, or you can invest in a long pole and squeegee to clean them just as you would any other window.

However listing cost isn't very helpful as it can vary greatly from area to area depending on labor costs, land prep, choice of finishes, design modifications, engineering. etc. Lindal's exterior materials package is delivered to your build site and is usually 1/3 of the total cost of the project.

what! Over half a million dollars for this home? whoever came up with that number, please break the land cost out of it so we can compare apples to apples.
