I've never used one, but I can see where it could be handy.

Brad is definitely the most used nailer in woodworking, pin is small but with no real holding power (good to hold while glue drys) brads are small but can hold things so easy to fill the hole after

I only used a nailer a year or so ago. A cheap pneumatic. I was an instant convert! Even with the hassle of a compressor, I knew that THIS was nirvana for trim attachment! Now I'm looking for a cordless but they DO seem massively large compared to my little pneumatic. Expensive too.

So what’s your finish nailer top pick? THX for the videos!

Definitely NOT the Makita. I will do a video comparing them sometime soon

@@BitnerBuilt When oh when is Makita going to trash their lousy nailers and redesign them? I am a Mak guy but will not buy ANY of their current nailers! Considering a Ryobi, Dewalt or Milwaukee with a battery adapter to run off Makita 18v batts. Already have the adapters.

Quick correction, it can use nails up to 1 1/2", not 1 1/4". That makes it perfect for me for things like cabinet assembly. I'm ordering this one very soon. I have the M12 pinner and love it, but could use the extra holding power of the 18 gauge nails.

Great review. I know you’re keeping this nailer…but does the fact that it shoots 1 1/2” make you feel even better about giving up the Ryobi?
@BitnerBuilt
@BitnerBuilt 26 дней назад
Hmmm well for me it didn’t really make a difference because I typically go to a finish nailer if I’m gonna be shooting 2 inches or longer but having multiple types of nailers, I have that ability. For me I was just so happy to go smaller lighter and for a vast majority 1 1/4 or smaller is what I’m running in a Brad. The main focus was for people where this is their only nailer that would be a negative but otherwise I think it’s a great tool.

Good video. Thanks. I use Ryobi 18 gauge. Bought it for ~$100 a few years ago it works good. It’s a little heavy. This looks smaller and lighter. Might be a good upgrade What brand/size finish nailer and pin nailers do you use or recommend?

I personally own the Makita pin and Finnish nailers for a few years. The pin is very good and light but oh man the Finnish is garbage. It’s been on my list to replace for a long time so stay away from that one 😓 I’m sure I will be doing videos on both types in the short term

I have the 23 gauge M12 pin nailer and it cannot flush set a pin even on the deepest setting. Material doesn’t seem to matter. It always leaves the pin proud.

Thanks for letting me know that’s interesting. I personally haven’t tried the Milwaukee pin nailer yet I have a Makita. Considering the M18 nailer only did OK in my other videos testing, it seems like Milwaukee’s nailers or a little all over the place. I do have to say, though I love this one.

Could be the firing pin is sheared at the tip. Mine has been flawless but my dewalt originally had a broken firing pin and it was only barely noticeable but left all my nail heads above the material
