Small RoPax Ferry (kapal penyeberangan) RV500GT class 

Direktorat General of Land Transportation (DGLT) awarded the DBN Shipyard in Cirebon to built the second RV500GT class small open deck roro passenger ship (sodropax) in this year. DGLT will operate this vessel in the new subsidize ferry crossing for connecting Bombana regency and Tg.Phising in Kabaena Island in South East Sulawesi. The vessel’s design was based on a prototype design developed by R95 Naval Architect with ship’s particulars Loa:47.35m; Lpp:41.56m; B:12m; H:3.7m; and T:2.6m. The 12kn service speed is powered by two 662 kw engines and two fix propellers. Passengers will be accomodated in the three separates area, a panoramic room with reclining seats in vessel’s forward, a lounge with sofa chairs in vessel’s aft and in open deck above with benches . Those areas are connected by services room in the middle of the passenger deck. The car deck could accomodated numerous types and numbers of vehicle up to 12 ton axle loads.
