Pen twins! I also have a pen from that blank with the gold, silver, and copper flakes, you're right it's a really pretty "neutral" sparkly pen to use! And I think I need to place an order at DP With Sparklers now 😂
I have a few of Jim's pens as well. I luuuuv them. That flower one though... might be time to wander over and have another looky loo at hugs wares again. 😁🙃

I have to say that I absolutely love everything that you just got. When you did your last video and you had the pens from the French shop that I can't say properly, I ended up ordering 4 from them lol. Now I just might have to go shopping again lol.
Hi Katie. I love these videos. I'm fairly new here so I love hearing about all this hidden gem small shops. I was wondering if you have ever had a kit from a company called Oraloa? Or if you would consider doing a review of their kits. I think they are a French Canadian company and they have licensed artwork as far as I can tell. Just wondering what their canvases are like and if they are worth the prices. Thanks!

I really want to purchase from DP with Sparklers and even go on there to add stuff to my cart but it is hard for me to know which drills to order for my canvas. Before I receive the DP and even when I get it. I would order the big sets but sometimes they don't include multiple colors I am thinking would work. I don't mind spending the $$ but it would suck to spend it and then have to reorder because the color doesn't quite work. Those pens are beautiful, btw v
I got her variety packs of square and round ABs which has been amazing as accents and gives me a large selection but also allows me to see what specific other colors I wish I had. As for the sparklers I just bought the ones that stood out to me (pretty much all of them 🤦♀️😂) and find that they work as a replacement for a wide range of colors since the iridescence camouflages any non exact match. Also if you google closest dmc match there’s sites where you can enter the original color and see what colors are closest since there still are quite a few dmc numbers that don’t have exact ab equivalents

Yes there is the AB drill mini set and the square AB drill mini set. They are smaller quantities but I love that since I usually sprinkle ABs instead of doing huge swathes but the smaller bags still go a LONG way. Also once I know what color I like for a piece it would be super easy to go back and buy larger bags of specific colors. Also in general I’ve found any specialty drill (sparkler, AB and evening crystals) are very forgiving with color matching since they reflect light differently than the basic drills so don’t be afraid to branch out from a “perfect match” especially since the same dmc code look different as different types of drills just due to reflection and such anyway.

The mini sets didn't exactly have colors I was eyeing but, at least, I'll have an idea. If I need a shade lighter or darker. Thank you!! I am new to DP and only have done 1 canvas, so far, that has ABs. So yellow and red leftover ABs. :( I DID buy some Diamond Dotz at Hobby Lobby for this gold I was wanting but I am trying to preplan for this other canvas I will be getting. I appreciate your help!
No problem at all! I’m also pretty new but can’t turn down sparkles so dove in pretty fast haha. Diamond painting with sparklers also has a RU-vid channel where she shows how she uses different accents which was also super helpful! I hope the mini packs work out as well for you as they have for me!
