@@logicrules5793 it could be straight out of Apocalypse Now or Platoon. It comes out of nowhere, feels so out of touch with the movie, but fits so well with the character. If any other character but Chip Hazard said that line in this movie, it wouldn't have worked at all. The only thing that would have made this line better would've been if he said that to another Chip Hazard action figure.
I remember expecting the franchise to become more of a thing as a kid. Theres a PS1 Small Soldiers game that lets you play a gorgonite, not a great game though.
Did they not?? I feel like I remember some sort of cartoon or something that was a spin-off of the movie. I don’t remember it being very good but I do remember when “adult movies” were getting kids spin off cartoons I.E “beetle juice” “ghost busters” It could have been a fever dream haha
I love this movie. One of the best movies I watched as a kid. And as an adult I’ll still watch it and be as entertained today as I was when I was 8 years old
I actually own Chip Hazard's vehicle that he bursts out of the garage with and shoots christy with. Small Soldiers is a Masterpiece. Absolutely my favorite movie of all time
if terminator 3 had been about judgement day, only it got delayed and instead of human sized killing machines, the terminators were all sentient toy terminators, that would have been hilarious.
@@ge2719open the shot with factory producing mass kill machines because skynet thinks it’s this big warehouse It’s actually the size of a doll house and it’s goal is to try to kill the kids but it’s never strong enough Kids destroy the doll house and everything Parents go buy another toy and repeat, that’s the gimmick Movie is about the toys that escape the smashings and regroup, until they find the actual SkyNet and get to corrupting it which then it ends or shows you them building up to T2 Now you go to T2
I absolutely loved small soldiers as a child, and it definitely helped that it aired every couple of months. I must’ve watched it at least a couple dozen times, but u sat through it every time.
I rewatched this as an adult and it was honestly fun to go back down memory lane. The fact that Major Chip is the bad guys compared to the Gorgonites has some historical proprietary.
My husband and I went to see this in the theater and we had a damn good time!! Phil was so good. The action was hilarious and quite good. I've never met anyone who didn't like this movie. I loved the monsters....it was just good!!
This is a regular comfort movie for me. I had a VHS copy from childhood for years and years until it got ruined in a flood. I still watch it maybe once or twice a year.
I liked the move, but the soundtrack itself is awesome! Remixes of classic rock and r&b tracks blew my mind when I first heard it and all of them done very well.
I remember checking this movie out all the time from my local Hollywood Videos when I was a kid. I even had the majority of the Gorgonites toys at the time.
This was my favorite movie as a kid, I saw it in theaters really young, my parents got me this on VHS/DVD as a present on my birthday the year after it came out,
I always wanted some kind of spin off like how they made a video game about them. Instead a mini series of a product prospective. I heard there’s one already in the making and I’m hoping the project gets finished.
Up there with one of the best childhood movies, creative, intense, emotional, had me all over the place as a kid 😂 and i was in love with Kirsten Dunst, was soooooo jealous of Alan the kid 😂😂
