You have taken a typically creepy space and made it charming and so useful. Love that you were able to shop your bits and pieces, add a fresh coat of paint and your special touches i.e. message board, baskets, hooks and light. And if you misplace a visiting child, that's the first place you will need to look. 😁
Literally look forward to these videos every week. Such a lovely little makeover, Laura, and the memory board is a crafting TRIUMPH. Thanks for taking us along with you!!
This is a perfect little room makeover.. so stylish and practical well thought out...I even love the extra hook you trimmed😉. The memo/ post board was a really nice clever idea ! It’s even better when it costs little as you can shop your house! ❤️👏🏻👏🏻🙋🏻♀️💕🇬🇧
So enjoyable watching your fantastic makeovers. I love the fact that you recycle any materials you’re able to ,showing what a great result can be produced on a limited budget. Well done to you both.👏🏽💖🌸🌷
I absolutely agree with you .even a small space can be turn out in beautiful and usefull space. And the more we clean and declutter our life space the more we feel zen ... I love what you did
What a success! Adhesive cork on a roll would perhaps have been easier to cover your slanted wonky wall, then paint white.to use as a memo board..but really ...love all your renovations...impeccable taste✨
15:00 I was just putting up the same hooks the other day and had the same problem. I just ended up hammering each screw into the wood before I used the drill. Glad to see I wasn't the only one struggling.
Looks fabulous! Nothing like taking a drab, junk collecting area and utilizing it to its full potential!! Looks wonderful and will be well used. Makes me want to do our coat closet!
I love it! It looks great! You’re right, it’s sometimes the little things that give you most joy, last summer I overhauled my built in wardrobes to include shoe storage and more shelving, baskets etc and it still makes me so happy every time I open those doors, everything is organised and has its own little home! 😊 Have a lovely weekend! x
That light is a great idea. I'm going to try and find one for my coat cupboard too! It looks great. And it reminds me to really start working on my laundry space.
Just so lovely and stylish - as always! I kept thinking what a great place to stash purchases that need to be returned - out of sight yet you see them every time you leave the house 🙌
I call my understairs cupboard The Tardis as there's that much stuff in it. Two large Xmas trees plus all the decorations, four rugs rolled up, sewing machine, Hoover, ironing board, two cases etc, etc. It's remarkable how much stuff is in there and I can still get in. Doesn't look as grand as yours though, well done.
Hello from the US! Laura and Ollie, you’ve inspired me to make over my small pantry! Loved seeing this transformation and thanks for the helpful and entertaining content!
The cupboard organisation is brilliant. Love the hanging basket. Im going to have to hunt that up in aust. And the shoe thingy under your coats is really clever. Im going to hunt those out as well. You get a big thumbs up from me😁👍
I just spent yesterday clearing out and reorganising my parents cupboard under the stairs! You’ve given me so many great ideas to help my parents utilise the space better. :)
This is so useful for me. I have a “laundry” with I think 7 corners which holds the boiler and aircon control box and a sink. Too many corners and pipes ewww. But you have given me some ideas to cover the awful walls and put up some shelves.
Great use of space. I’m going to do mine now including making memo board for home office. I know you created the memo board to cover the wall but I’d swap the shoe storage from the door to the sloped wall and move the memo board to back of the door. Well done 👏🏻
Love this vid! I'm moving house on Sunday and there are quite a few little corners that I CAN'T WAIT to DIY a little bit of love into like you did here. You guys have given me so many good tips over the years so thank you so much! Not sure I'd do as good a job as you two do though haha.
Good luck for the move Joe! We were useless at the beginning so I am sure you will do fine, it takes some trial and error but most of all enjoy it and have fun 😁
I love it. What a clever and pleasant looking use of the space. Which vacuum do you use? With your permission 😉, I will make the foam board with linen and ribbon. Love it. You have such good taste.
Currently making good on my under stairs area, and believe me mine was far worse looking, its a real challenge. Made up stud work for plasterboard boxed the gas meter and main fuse in and fitted doors, spare LVT tiles for the floor, just paper taping and filling the board, then paint it all.
Such a transformation ! With your climate you definitely need coat storage (living in subtropical Australia I own only one lightweight coat). I enjoy your videos xx
I actually likes this video the most 😍 see such a small space transform is amazing I actually have the same space and mine looks like you before 🙈 but now I know what I can do with it 🙌🏼 I also have 2 cuborads up stairs that I'm now think are not being used to there full potential 😔 but that's gonna change 👌🏻💯 Thank you, and I love this Chanel xxx
How does the shoe holders work?! I love them. My only question is what happens if the holders down the road get dirty? Are they easy to take down to clean?
