I really appreciated your comments on creating rhythm in clearing the fridge, shopping for groceries, and creating some meal plans before shopping for groceries. We are only two at home, so I also pack up leftovers in smaller quantities...some to eat later in the week and some straight into the freezer.
My 10 minute tidies do the exact same thing for me! I feel like it’s so doable to get something done in 10 minutes and usually it gives me the push to keep going until I have to stop. Loved this- very real and relatable! ❤
I'm new to your channel, and I have to say that I love your videos. It's getting harder to find a real, relatable channel, and I feel that I can relate to your content very easily. Thank you. I look forward to following along.
My fridge organization is similar: sauces in door, meat, veggies, and fruit drawers. I just need to regularly clean. A good chore to add to my weekly duties.
One thing that has helped me in my fridge is a butter dish with a lid. I didn’t have one for the longest time, and I would have multiple pieces of sticks of butter in the section I keep butter in, no idea how old they were, and every few weeks I’d end up tossing several (I’m bad about grabbing a fresh stick of butter if I need 4 tbsp and the partial one is only 1-2 tbsp). Once I started using the butter dish, I keep all partial sticks in there, and I end up using it all because it’s not just floating around in the tray. A small thing that has made a big difference!
I really am so glad you did this. I have the exact same fridge as you & it always just seems so packed & there’s only hubby & I. I’ve tried putting everything in containers on the shelf & it just doesn’t work. Soooo, I’m going to try to reset my fridge today. Today is my cleaning day, & I’m on one of my 15 minute breaks, so glad I chose to watch your video. Have a blessed day. I got a surprise dusting of snow last night. 😊❤😊❄️❄️❄️❄️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hello Kellie from the Ottawa Valley, Ontario, Canada. I really liked your idea of a freezer thermometer and I'll pick one up for my stand-up freezer in the garage. My daughter's in-laws lost their freezer contents due to a tripped breaker (UGH!). Your video had some great tips on creating rhythm and keeping stock of what is not being used. Thank you!
Why do you have both a crock pot and a multipot? We got a multipot when our pressure cooker no longer worked. Immediately, we threw out our crock pot and rice cooker. Saves us a lot of space.
Great point. I’ve heard from others that the slow cooker function on the instant pot is not an exact trade for a crockpot. For now, I enjoy using them both and thankfully have the space for them.
I've got a video coming out Friday and I'll be sure to showcase it then! It's from the special buys aisle ($4.99!) and I talk in depth about it in this video : From NO PLAN to MEAL PLAN in less than 15 minutes! FYI-Real Maple Syrup has to be refrigerated after opening or it becomes moldy. I know this from experience and per the label on the bottle. I'm not sure about imitation syrup, that may not require refrigeration.
So glad everyone knows what works best for their fridge and their family! As Victoria stated below, I also unfortunately experienced first hand that real maple syrup must be refrigerated after opening. Our honey is in a cabinet and so is our peanut butter. According to the label on our imitation syrup it needs not be refrigerated- I just keep them together there.
