Heading back to a stream where my grandparents introduced me to trout fishing. Great memories then and more great memories now... Music "Rabid" by Ethan Meixsell
Pan fried Brook Trout have to be one of my favorites! Usually keep a couple during the season for at least one meal! Nice to have a stream on the property.
@MasterCrowOutdoors he doesn't fish it as often as he used to but I like to take the niece down there for some catch n release too :) only keep if they swallow the hook
I love those native brookies they are awesome! You had a great day catching them at all those different stretches of the creek and that pond too! A couple real nice males you caught! Great job brother 👍 🎣
Ya she's a sweet spot and my grandparents even fished it back in the 40's! I practice C n R on it as I don't think it would take much to fish it out. Unfortunately pulled some garbage from the beaver dam on this trip
Lot of little brookies there is a few brooks I want to try close to here been driving by them for years but now running the grader I can get a better look at them and think I have been passing some good fishing.
@Master Crow Outdoors I'm trying to find a way to do it and still bring my dog. He's a pitbull and has no recall so would probably gave to tie him to my waist.
@Mother Hem Creations I used to fish with my lab all the time, but he would heel without a leash. If your pittie won't, keeping him tethered is a good idea.
I use 30lb braid down to a small ball bearing swivel. Then a 1 or 0 sized spinner. This was a Blue Fox. Attached to that is a number 4 snelled barbless bait hook with a little piece of crawler. Lighter spinners sometimes require a small split shot.
My brother and I fished a stream up towards Doaktown and we had so many hits we run out of bait so we used bubble gum and cigarette filters and still caught trout...lol...
We always came back scratched and bleeding when we fished tiny brooks for trout. Especially in New Jersey you had to go the extra mile to get to “ Unfished “ waters. New Jersey is the most densely populated state in the union, 1/3 of which can possibly sustain a year round trout fishery, so you can get the picture. Keep the videos coming!
Awesome little stream buddy. That's my happy place, water such as these ones. There's always something special going to a place where you were either brought up as a young fella or some meaning to a location involving a family member such as your grandparents for instance. Great video buddy. I can't wait for the new fishing season to start over here in New Zealand. 1st October it kicks off and I'll be back on the river.
I hear you and it's like stepping back in time. Makes you wonder how it went by so quick! Looking forward to following your adventures and October 1st will be here before you know it!
Cool video man! Theres something special about stumbling through the thick misquote infested brush and casting into a pool to catch a beautiful 7" brookie. Brookies are so pretty, Gods creation is beautiful!
I was surprised that you did not pull out at least one 19 inch brookie out of that Beaver pond!!! Great video, we always enjoyed catching native Brookies no matter how small they were, a ten incher would have us whooping it up!!!!
@@joebranscombe7228 I typically release fish but did keep one here that was deep hooked. I'm always worried about small stream populations and over fishing!
