Closing Trades: At 79,032.18, the 30-share S&P BSE Sensex concluded Friday's trading session down 210.45 points, or 0.27 percent. Similarly, the Nifty50 closed lower, down 33.90 points or 0.14 percent, at 24,010.60. In terms of more general indices, Nifty Smallcap 100 had a daily gain of 0.84 percent at the closing of the session, and Nifty Midcap 100 saw a gain of 0.56 percent. Nifty PSU Bank was dragged by 0.89 percent, while Nifty Pharma ended 1.11 percent higher. Among the sectoral indexes, Nifty Auto, FMCG, and Metal index drove the benchmark indices higher.
