SMALLFOLK | HOUSE OF THE DRAGON SEASON 2 EPISODE 6 REACTION 

We have a new dragon rider!!! I am so excited for Rhaenyra to find out who he is. Also I was not expecting her and Mysaria to link up at all. Secondly, I wonder when Alicent said sorry to Aegon, was she sorry for having a hand in him becoming king and having to endure this? Especailly knowing that the only child that seems to be doing alright is her son who was sent away. Also when she was talking to her brother Gwayne he seemed rather down. This is making me feel as though he is understanding that he may be riding off to his death by making way to Harrenhal. So far I am loving this season. Kind of sad we are already on ep 6.

26:49 Yes Seasmoke was Laenor dragon. Which make sense for him to reject Sir Seffron Durklyn for Addam of Hull, becuse the young man has Velaryon blood. It's a bloodline Seasmoke can recognize, remember Laenor is both Targaryen & Velaryon. You can see the characters are use to Seasmoke flying over spicetown an this epsiode confirms why. It was due Seasmoke watching over Addam and sensing his presence from up above.

Great episode. As you can see, the Green Council tries to manipulate Aemond only to fail. As well, Aemond is removing his mother from the council. As you can see, she was trying to reach him but to no avail. You can see Aemond look at Daemon as his rival. Aemond is failing to listen to Larys Strong words that the smallfolk of Kings Landing is not happy that there isn't any food. In which will cause them to be desperate and attack. In hope of Aemond making him Hand only to be rejected as Aemond want Otto. Aemond hearing Aegon is a cause for concern for him if the truth gets out for what he did. He will lose his position as in which now Aegon is a danger to Aemond. Aemond refusal to think about the small folk caused Kings Landing to go into chaos and anarchy in which forces Alicent and Helena to escape after the smallfolk receive food from the Rhaenyra ship. The scene of Alicent and Helena getting attack reminds me of season 2 of Game of Tgrones when Tyrion, Sansa and Joffrey get attacked. It is nice to see Paddy Considine back as Viserys, as you can finally see Daemon breakdown in which he admits his guilt of letting his brother down. Rhaenyra takes a risk in putting Steffon Darklyn on a dragon, only for it to fail as he's killed. In which she now cause more people from her council as well as Jace to question her leadership. I wasn't surprised at Rhaenyra and Mysaria getting together. With more scenes, the two share together as well. You can see them growing closer. It awesome that Addam claimed Seasmoke. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Aemond didn't attempt to kill him and obviously he was trying to scare him into silence about what happened but I believe he was giving the ball back since it is the King's ball that represents him at the small council, essentially saying since you are alive and awake this is yours because you are still the king but idk hard to know what Aemonds reasons are for doing everything he does.

I know the rhaenyra/mysaria thing might have seemed to come out of nowhere. But if you listen to cast and show runner interviews as well as official hotd podcasts, they talk a lot about how there’s always been queer subtext in the relationship between rhaenyra and alicent. So once we knew that in s1 I think it helps inform this writing choice. And now we can look at rhaenyra/alicent dynamic differently since rhaenyra is a confirmed bisexual character.

if people actually payed attention to all the rhae/mysaria scenes you can clearly see the kiss didn’t come out of nowhere.

I'll drop the show, after seeing the direction it's going towards. They axed Nettles (my favorite character), they gave a dragon to a rando, they gave us a lesbian kiss out of fucking nowhere, they murdered Daemon's character because Sara Hess (writer and exec of HotD) loathes him with a passion, they didn't show us Daeron and his dragon, they are pushing for giving Rhaena a dragon that SHOULD HAVE GONE to Nettles (the best character who was axed for no fucking reason!), all these useless flashbacks, just to name a few things! Too many fuck ups for me to stomach, it's time to drop this series like the bad habit that it is.
