smallmouth bass on the fly! it only took me a year to figure this out! 

i love the smallie fishing at this fishery so much that i've always been reluctant to put down the ultralight spinning setup. but the bite was slow enough that i said, "whatever, full send on the fly." i'm glad i did. lefty's deceiver produced instant results, my casting on the 6wt got better, one smallie took a green mop, and i even got one on the popper at sunset. i do think adding the intermediate versileader helped significantly.
