You can see all the regret in Clark's eyes. All the times they'd fought, all that they'd been through... he doesn't know if she'll ever come back to him and he's regretting not saying how much he loves her.
Hes by far my favorite version of the character. He didn't need a suit to prove he's Superman. He embodied the attributes. Imo he's so much better than Henry Cavills n return if superman one was horrible no personality. And can't even watch tyler hoetchen version. Toms version made me care.
I thought he was way to wussy the guy was just so pathetic it literally made me sick. Let Lana just die already then maybe the guy would finally grow up. But I seriously doubt it.
It's been awhile since I've watched Smallville and I haven't really kept up with the show that much try for a decade what happened to Lana why is she so catatonic?

Tbh I need to watch this show again from start to finish because as a kid I was bouncing between episodes and I had no idea what was going on.
So sad 😭 these two were star-crossed lovers, there was always some obstacle in their way. In DC comic universe Clark was destined to be with Lois, but in Smallville his true love is Lana. If he could choose it would be Lana. He loves Lois, but you can see that he will always be in love with Lana. This scene was heart breaking you can feel the pain, great acting.
Lana is his first love and you never will truly stop loving your first love. Clark and Lana were amazing together there's plenty of moments that show their chemistry and love but the big reason they never fully worked was the fact that Lana didn't like the fact that he couldn't be honest with her about his secret. Lois on the other hand understood why he wasn't upfront and understood that he would tell her when he felt the most comfortable. Clark and Lois just had a little more understanding and comfortability in their relationship as opposed to Clark and Lana just having to hold onto secrets and lieing for protection and all that. Like I said Clana is a great couple. When Lana leaves for good in both season 7 and 8 it always hurts me but at the same time there's a reason Clark and Lois are endgame over Clark and Lana.
One of the saddest or biggest nightmare for a guy to go through in life is having the girl of his dreams be in a situation like this and knowing there’s not much you can do about it :(
The impact Clark had on people was beyond most characters in shows in general . The way Chloe couldn’t stand to see her best friend holding that weight on his shoulder. Her friends who love each other so close but yet so far from one another
For me this is the emotional scene of tom & kristin in smallville.. It's hurt for clark to see the girl that he love for so long in that bad situation.. 😭
Every time I hear this song, it brings me back to this scene with Lana and Clark. The song's words and music with the imagery of Clark, Lana and the angel.
You can tell hes trying to prepare himself for the worst as he walks down the hall. I think Tom Welling did an excellent job of portraying Clark Kent especially as time went on. Honestly Smallville had the best version of many characters imo.
Last episode of thr season or series? That'd would've been a horrible way to end the series. In retrospect I'm glad we got to see more happen between him n Lois even if it was a rocky road to their relationship.
Those creepy contacts they gave Kristin just sold the idea of her being catatonic across the board. And then the way she echoed James Marsters' pattern of speech...it all just fit.
No, they wouldn't. The rips in their relationship are there throughout season 7, the Bizzaro disaster, how she told him she'd been happier with him because he was more understanding, how she went crazy with his powers... She also really liked to create maximum drama, always stringing at least two guys along at any given time...
Star crossed lovers. It would have been more humane for Lana to have just been murdered. Not out in a coma. Far worse. Clark loved her so much. And vice versa. What I admired about their relationship is they tried so hard to make things work. Even thru their arguments they still managed to try and make things work. They acknowledged their mistakes. 🙏
I always love them together and wish they never separated. When Lana came back after a long time I wish they will get back together again but it is impossible no matter what. He got Lois instead 😢

Clana had too few happy couple scenes together, even when they were living together in Season 7, it was like show makers went out of their way to not include any positive scenes, which was just nonsensical, considering how desperate Clark was to spend his life with Lana in Season 6. In 7 seasons, there were may be 7 scenes of them as happy couple, and that is just a horrible pay off for what was supposed to be a epic heartbreaking love story. Smallville really should have ended with Clark and Lana together or at least given them one season or even 10 episodes of happy couple life... I mean this was a whole alternate reality anyway so why not...
I ship him n Lois at this point. When I was younger preferred Lana but being older changed my opinion but this is so sad. I don't think any show was better at finding music to match the mood. N when he puts his head down n cries omg😭. I dont remember this episode but I'm sure he blames himself as always. Hard to watch a scene with Allison mack now but when Chloe starts crying just adds to the emotions. There's a reason it was voted one of the top two shows on the cw.

Clark always cried like a little girl over Lana he was so pathetic. He went to here time and time again. That would have been the perfect time to get rid of her she way overstayed her welcome. When he closed her eyes she should have stayed dead. And Chloe was just as pathetic.

This is one of the saddest times when he cries along with when Alycia dies, lana leaves him the tape and pf course the saddest is when he comes into Martha watching the home video after Jonathan dies and he breaks down crying. I don't remember if he cried when Ryan died or not.
