I love how the general says he know's Clark's secret without actually speaking the words. :) He leans in, cocks his head a little bit, and says "...and that's all thanks to the Blur, hm?" - and you can see Clark look visibly uncomfortable for a second, but the Blur saving his daughter changed his mind on the vigilante aspect. :)
@@mikeattard3543 the first few episodes they did. Clark, superman, and General Lane have a chat. But since it was never officially stated that he knew Clark's secret they get away with it
I love how they stuck with the most proper way to marry the person who you love. Cuz when you get married, marriage isn't between just two people, rather two families. I miss this show.
I've always been a fan of Michael Ironside, and this episode is one of the best of his roles and my favorite. I especially like how the writers had Ironside state that he put Lois's previous boyfriends through hell to test her and she never said a word until she was with Clark, and that as her dad that he knew she didn't love her previous boyfriends. I especially like the song and the scene of them all enjoying a Thanksgiving dinner together at the dining room table, like a family.
It's a different universe, Tom Welling himself said that. Also, many fans don't consider it canon, all those years of embracing his destiny and he just gives up his powers, it's stupid. Jor-El would never let him do that.
Such a wonderful scene!! Great acting by Mr Ironside and Mr Welling. We get to see Clark work out things with his future father in law and learns that Lois stood up for him proving to her dad that she loves Clark completely. Lovely Thanksgiving scene. A great episode with much to love!!!
I wonder if Clark was comparing this Thanksgiving with the last one he shared with Lois. This time, he...not Oliver...has got the girl he’s loved (though he didn’t know it) from day one. ***sigh*** It’s so romantic...❤️
At the end of the Video, when Clark talks about Lois and himself and the General turned around, anyone else believe he was thinking: "Say something bad, you little punk. I fucking dare you!"
Loved this actor! Clark calling him “Sir,” is so respectful! He was raised right! Sam Lane did the best he could as a father. Lois he raised to be independent and trained her to be a soldier. Now he’s come to realize that she is not a soldier but his daughter. ❤️🙏 Love it when he said “I put those bastards through hell.” lol 😂 Although this scene was beautiful I was always still pining for Chloe to get with Clark. 🙏🙏
Resistance fighter in V-The Visitors, Captain of the seaQuest DSV, voice of Sam Fisher in most of the Splinter Cell series... On the other hand: Voice of Darkseid, almost killed Arnold in The Total Recall... He is good in every role.
When u see Clark in crisis I reflect on this moment and I think wow Clark really must have listened to the general Batman if he saw this: Clark! Always saying yes to anyone with a badge... or a flag!
Also I thought the scene where they were all sitting at the dinner table on thanksgiving and I’m like why isn’t Clark’s mom there. She should have been there for this.
@CheapTrick81 Many others (including myself) have said that a voice over by Chloe or Lois talking about a hero or reading the first article about Superman would be nice. Paired along with your idea I can assure you that I'd be satisfied.
PLEASE someone tell me. Dos Loui's father know, that Clark is The Blure / Superman now after he saved her? I am not sure, but love this scene of father and son talk they have together.
I'm reading the follow-up series (season 11 is a comic instead of on TV), and it's still a bit unclear by issue #8 readcomiconline.to/Comic/Smallville-Season-11/Issue-8?id=38444#9
Yes he does, 100%, that's what makes the scene awesome. :) Watch it again, when he talks about by the grace of god we're going to have a thanksgiving......then he leans in, tilts his head staring clark in the eyes, and says "and that's all thanks to the Blur" It makes clark visibly uncomfortable for a second, he's saying he knows without actually saying it, then right after too he says "I like thinking she has her own personal guardian angel" He definitely knows, 100%, watch it again and how he acts when he says the lines I'm talking about.
