Oh my God this scene and then the head touch. My gushy ass use to be like I can't wait to look at someone like that and I do now🙏🏿❤️ God this show was written so damn good!!!
THE BEST rescue EVER in SV, the way he looks at her, the way he hugs her and not caring what will happen as long as she is in his arms,,, the way they touch their foreheads and then rub their noses discreetly, a CLANA gesture through the seasons, the way he looks at her and wanting to see if she is proud or not! MAN, CLANA are the UNSPOKEN WORDS, they master their body language
Out of all the times Clark has saved Lana, this one is my favourite as it felt like a Superman moment from the way Clark dived off from the top of the roof to save Lana and when he catches her with the 'it's okay i've got you' look he gives afterwards, he really looked like a real hero. The only thing missing was the blue suit and red cape, i would have preffered if this happened maybe a few years later when he's started to wear his black costume and this could have been the first time he sees Lana again after she left but still this was a lot of fun.
To me this rescue scene always seemed like an homage to the first Christopher Reeves Superman movie when he saves Lois by catching her falling from the top of a building after a helicopter crash. I thought by doing the same thing with Lana here was the creators of Smallville's way of showing their intention was always that Clark and Lana's love was pure and undying.
0:47 Listen to the "sound of flying" In 0:50 you can hear that the sound stops when he is about to catch Lana, he was flying! He has flown hundreds of times before the finale but it is a bit subtle to notice :-D
Anywhere a superhero went, everybody would need medical, life, home, car, property and business insurance. That was a big plot point in the first "Incredibles" movie. That (and lawsuits) was the main reason the government prohibited superheroes.
He always saves Lana with out any hesitations. he takes many.bullets for Her. he would die for her that is how much he is in love with her and always will be. I never saw that with Lois.
Thank you!! I never saw anything like that with Lois, either. Not remotely. It never even felt like there was any real love - or even a hint of chemistry - between Clark and Lois. Clark and Lana were the heart of the show.
Lois is too bossy and annoying, bossy love interests never work with any heroes imo. Take CW tv show The Flash for instance, Flash’s wife Iris is so overbearing and the hero is reduced from the protagonist to a mere supporting character, in one episode, Flash is pushed down a building and Iris is the one who jumped off the building and dived down to save him... what a trainwreck the show has become! Smallville is still the best superhero show, well written and directed. This Lana makes the most perfect superhero partner, her backstory with Clark is amazing, she’s soft and gentle and supportive, strong but not bossy, SO pretty to look at, she and Clark have the best chemistry! She brings out the gentleness and best in him and they look so sweet together. During the fall down, his eyes never left hers and she knew she was safe in his strong arms, they didn’t need to say a word after that... sigh... Real love
Well, he always saves without any hesitations ALL his beloved ones (Lana, Lois, Chloe, Martha, Jonathan). But I was impressed that he risked his life only to kiss "kryptonite" Lana last time. That scene proved his true feelings to her ❤️
totally agree with you and by the way clark flew in this scene for the second time but he didn't know as he didn't know it in the first time when he saved lana from the tornado
This save is a beautiful echo to the big save from the tornado at the end of season 1 and the start of season 2. During the tornado, Lana sees Clark and thinks he could not do anything for her... During the tower, Lana does not see Clark, but she knows he can do anything for her. During the tornado Clark must jump up to catch Lana and to tell her "everything is going to be ok"... During the tower, Clark must dive down to catch Lana and he just has to look at her and she knows "everything is going to be ok" During the tornado, Lana screams, cries, she's desperate and thinks "fate has found me" During the tower, Lana doesn't scream, doesn't cry, she has no doubt and thinks "Clark is going to catch me" During the tornado, Lana doesn't know Clark During the tower Lana does know Clark During the tornado, they go up, because their relationship is just about to start During the tower, they go down, because their relationship is just about to end I call that pure poetry
@@rhurn3605 Man Kyla and Clark deserved a hole season together... 1st she was hot af and the story of these caves, the symbols and the legend of Naman and the woman destined to be with him, all the that arc had a lot to offer... And it would have been something to see Lana being the one secretly in love with an unavailable Clark... karma at its best.. of course, before they got together later.
This is what their dialogue is but was cut Lana: oh sht im falling i hope clark saves me but too late he cant fly Clark: *weee* Lana: u mdfkr can fly?!?! Clark: we're not flying, we are falling, in style!
@xbox644 exactly, BUT SOME PPL dont want to ADMIT it to not give credit to LANA, he even FLEW in the tornado to save her,,, and what about floating right above her bed,,, how did he go there? if you notice the scene before hovering above her bed, you would see the motion above the fields was someone flying to her room!
Technically Clark flew in this scene!! He just flew downwards. He had to of. He was going faster then free fall speed - he would have had to of in order to catch up with her..
lairdriver You're totally right. As long ago as when Galileo dropped two different-sized cannonballs from the Tower of Piza, it's been established as a physical law that all masses, no matter how much they weigh (discounting air resistance), fall at exactly the same rate. Clark would never have been able to do that unless he was able to nudge himself a little faster downwards (however the physics of Superman's ability to fly works).
Yeah, it was always confusing because they say he didn't learn to fly until season 10 but all those other times he was able fo to leap on to tall buildings which gave me the impression that he already knew how to fly
I choose to believe he X-rayed the scene and car b4 landing to avoid bystander injuries. Every decision he's ever made has been methodically thought and planned and this is no different.
This show did a perfect job of saying Lana and Lois WERE both his true loves and soulmate ... it was up to them to make choices ... and Lana's choices always led her away from Clark ... he loves them both equally ... when he gets that msg from the future or something for that book it says Lana Lane ...
I honestly forget if this was the ONLY time when Clark actually caught them as he was falling with them, as opposed to just catching them when they hit the bottom.
@0:52-1:19 Walk a tightrope way up high Write your name across the sky I'm going crazy just to let you know You'd be amazed how much I love you so, oh baby When I get my hands on you I won't let go This time I know it's for real....
