Woah, I found out about these markers some months ago (Jazza highly recommends them) and I was SO ready to buy them, but then I saw this review and like... Hmmmmmmm :/// The brush nib seems SO sensitive, I don't know, did you press it on the paper really hard? I don't think they're supposed to be used with a lot of pressure, but still idk I've never used alcohol markers. Anyway, the other art supplies in this box look pretty nice, thanks for the review :) But still I think that I'm more of a buy-your-supplies-one-by-one person, just like you x) without the "advanced and professional" side of it lol
is jazza sponsored by the markers? a lot of times people will twist their review if they're getting a commission off of it. or maybe they have a feather light grip, unlike me. who knows. i have no idea how any pro would like these xD thanks for watching!

Eh just in my own life when I used the spectrum noir markers I liked them. The worst alcohol markers I ever used in my life was Michael's brand, the tip fried after a 5 minute doodle. No thnx
The alcohol markers have a new nib on the markers and are much better than the older ones that were in the box. I think the ones used by Jazza are the updates, new ones.
Jerry's Artarama has a flat shipping rate for each price range, and much better shipping than Blick imo.I also don't use Amazon anymore either since they suck :/
Glad you're so honest about this! The markers make absolutely no sense in that theme, I think they just put them in since alcohol markers are so popular online. Though to be honest, any kind of subscribtion box seems like a waste of money to me
i think the only way i could see it being a good idea is giving a gift to a new/younger artist just starting out. 12 year old me would have been THRILLED to get a box like this in the mail!
The general content of the box seems fine, though I have to say some of the art supplies seem used or old. The tombow pen is not supposed to be that dry upon opening, so that doesn't speak for the box. Also, it may be a reach, but could it be that the red marker was glittery because it was already used once? (Like when you draw over a glittery drawing) So hmm sounds like they should check their stuff.
i agree that the items could be old, there wasn't anything else super telling but the pen and markers were like...hmmm. i don't think the markers were used, they definitely were in original packaging that was untouched (box was new, no ink on the marker caps etc). the glitter was weird. it seemed like it was purposely added to the marker color? no clue why.
I feel like the only time a box like that would be worth it to me is if it was only made up of stuff that was not available where I live, or limited edition items or something but since most art boxes are stuff I could get at the nearest Michaels It just doesn’t seem worth it lmao
yes!! i would love it if there was a box of international supplies, so like different types of traditional supplies or a theme from different countries. that would be really cool. all the stuff in the box i reviewed is so easy to get :/
ALSO do you listen to the twilight sad? it's a scottish band and if you haven't heard of them i really recommend their songs. but i'd like to know what you think if you have heard of them and their songs.
I have those markers (they're older so the design is a bit different) and they're kinda whatever, I bought them because they were cheap at home sense and I hadn't really tried alcohol markers before. I'm sure there are better options for similar prices though
of the alcohol markers i've tried (that aren't expensive like copic) the prismacolor double ended ones were pretty good! not super long lasting because i have a death grip but the color and tip was great!
also since you said you prefer them do you have any water based marker suggestions? other than the most popular ones because they're pretty expensive where i live
yeah! you can check out what art supplies i use video, otherwise my favorites right now are the ecoline brush pens and the tombow dual brush pens. they're not super cheap or anything, but definitely worth it for the price, they last a long time and have a lot of color payoff.

the brushes are so fun to use! even just doing abstract work with them is fun, the feel is really great. i always find painting with a brush really relaxing. if you're heavy handed with painting, try oils! the texture is so fun to work with when you have a heavy hand (i do too, i find it hard to work with watercolors for this reason haha).
