I used to think I’d release a song and people would just magically find my music without trying to push it out there...then wondered why my mom was the only one listening to my music 😂😂😅

This obsession with organic reach sounds like an artistic ego trap. Everybody has a blessing. Your success really starts when you recognize and capitalize on yours. Some people it's their looks, some money, some connects. Take what you can because everyone else is.

Practice, get good at making music, start dropping, STAY consistent, promote yourself & your on. Its not that deep, but it does take work. People either start dropping music & their not that good yet, or the quality sucks...or they drop music once every 3 months & dont promote thereself...etc. You gotta be on top of everything...Be patient, work & you got it!! i loved your point about using what we have- because so many times us artists feel discouraged because either we don't have enough money, or enough followers, or yada yada. But the reality is we're just wasting our time complaining about what we don't have vs using our time to enhance the skills that we do have or use the resources that we do have! So thank you for reminding me of that- it's really so helpful!

I think the only thing really inorganic is buying likes, plays, or followers. These days algorithms in social media make it necessary to pay for ads and other ways for exposure.

I know a few artists here in my small town who want "organic" fans. And they think paying for promo or playlist placement is "cheating" and they make good music... but they have been in the same spot for quite a while.

The starving artist had nothing to do with a record label. It was usually directed to independent artists who had no one behind them.

It’s all about the intention. As within, so without, as above, so below. You can’t get big and manifest many followers if you’re frustrated or fearfully trying to push your product unto others. Music is spiritual and it cannot be faked. Almost all the musicians that I look up to made it organically. Where they reached a state of professionalism that comes with practicing for more than 10 thousand hours. Once u reach that state, that frequency of being, you naturally attract situations that get your music heard: either through meeting musicians that already have influence or other connections. We gotta be honest with ourselves as to why we make this music in the first place. Those who truly love music will not have the intentions of trying to manipulate their way through. They’ll just create.

Of course you need to invest in yourself and put money into your music but TRUST me when I say, some people out here can magically blow up. You have people that buy their careers with so many ads over time and then you have unique talented individuals that blow up because the song extraordinary. Nothing is impossible. You can make it organically and paid

I been seeing people purposely not promo there hard work. Even tho it's hard work, we don't see it that way. If ur truely against promo.... Do u but never hold back based off wut people think. 1st off, human emotion n perspective changes n there's too many people in the world to cut them off.
