Very handy trick. I have one outside light with a screw socket and all the rest are bayonet and when the bulb goes I have plenty of LED bayonet bulbs and not one screw in . I'll definitely be doing this.
My hand sprung a leak🤣. Should have included stabbing my hand in the video for extra dramatic effect.😂😂😂. I'm always trying to liberate blood from my fingers!
I have a very small bayonet socket in entertainment center, want to put in a standard e26 base decorative bulb, can you show how or what adapter piece to use Please?
In order to get the right adapter, you firstly need to know what size your bayonet base is. eBay sell many different types of adaptors. Or you can try to swap the bases over. Also are the lamps the same voltage rating?
In the UK is easy to find a adaptor from e27 to b22. But on the island of madeira its all e27, and it's not so easy to get a adaptor from b22 to e27. Amazon won't even deliver here. So it's worth switching out the endcaps
You can but I'm not a big fan of using adapters for E27 bulbs. The adapter allows you to change the polarity of the screw fitting which is technically "dangerous". It's quick and easy to do and you can recycle a base from a failed old bulb.
@@MyProjectBoxChannel only B22 (socket) to E27 (bulb) adapters carry this risk. The other way is safe as the live and neutral connectors are removed at the same time. The one potential risk I can imagine from such an adapter is accidentally putting your fingers in the socket and touching the live pin.
@@mmoonman13 I prefer no to use a adapter, just because it looks ugly🤣. There are safer B22 to E27 adaptors ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Sdd-54U-sqk.html
