This is dual induction dual wireless power? Where in the same coil you can cook and also have wireless power up to 2400w... I've seen it at the Milan fair, Cloen's dual electricity induction and transmission system are impressive.

I believe that wireless power together with dual induction as Cloen proposes, is the future... in fact it is the present since this company has launched it in Spain. Congratulations.

There are a number of companies trying to market similar types of wireless power in the kitchen, however categories like this one need to have a standard to provide consumers the assurance of safety, reliability and interoperability. That's why major and start up kitchen appliance manufacturers around the world are joining the Wireless Power Consortium - to participate in developing the Ki Standard and carry the Ki logo on their products.

This is not Cloen Cordless Technology? It is similar like Ki but I think Cloen can you cook and also in the same coil have the wireless power...

Indeed the dual-function hobs as displayed at CES2023 can do both standard cooking and Ki appliance powering on the same spot (of course not at the same time). In fact to enable the Ki powering, there is no user-action required on the hob. The appliance can be operated like a corded appliance. Placing the device on the hob will activate the power. Removing it will bring the hob in standby, meeting also standby power regulations and not transmitting any induction power while in standby.

What a spectacle of technology, after reading the comments I have seen that the Spanish company Cloen has already launched the dual kitchen of the future, with induction and transmission of electricity... many congratulations, I would love to try it in the USA.

And you will Manuel, but most likely not until the Ki Standard is available. It will be difficult for any individual company to successfully create a new category like this one without the existence of a standard to ensure consumers that the products are safe and interoperable with other brands in the market.

Congratulations, you are doing great... I visited you at the stand in Milan... the kitchen of the future is a reality thanks to Cloen.

Is it really safe for the appliance to start up directly?
@julianavarro3744
@julianavarro3744 Год назад
If I do not see it very safe because in the example of the mixer that starts it and removes it from the base then does not put it back. What happens if a child unintentionally places an appliance on top of it?
@r.dumont3031
@r.dumont3031 Год назад
@@julianavarro3744 The software in the appliance will detect if a device was already switched on and then removed. Hence there is a safety precaution that a device that is in the "on-state" when placed on the power spot will not start until first switched off and then switched on again. It will also avoid your overfilled blender to start bursting like a volcano when placed on the spot and you might even trip it over because of it. The devices are designed to safely cope with such situations.

Ho visto la cucina del futuro a Milano alla fiera 2022 presentata da un'importante azienda spagnola e realizzata da Cloen Cordless Technology... sono precursori di questa tecnologia.

Kitchen appliances have gone wireless and are expected to be in high demand. Very innovative system and I would love to have it. I have already seen it at the EUROCUCINA fair in Milan with a Spanish company.

That's actually pretty cool! And 2200 watts is impressive! How did they deal with the inefficiencies of wireless induction?
@r.dumont3031
@r.dumont3031 Год назад
Wireless power transfer is not neccesarily inefficient. The higher the power, the better the efficiency. In this case the efficiency will be around 94%.
@r.dumont3031
@r.dumont3031 Год назад
Any power conversion (also to power your phone via the charger or TV set) will have power conversion involving a transformer and those efficiencies in general are less than 90%.
@gabedarrett1301
@gabedarrett1301 Год назад
@@r.dumont3031 Why does higher power result in higher efficiency?
@r.dumont3031
@r.dumont3031 Год назад
@@gabedarrett1301 Because general system losses remain the same (constant factor; your car radio will not consume more power when driving at higher speed, nor will your car-system-management), and for lower powers these contributions are relatively higher.

Can the transmitter be activated with anything else like a metal pan? Don't wanna get a 220watt shock
@WirelessPowerConsortium
@WirelessPowerConsortium Год назад
No, the safety mechanisms built into the Ki standard prohibit the transmitter from being activated by anything other than a Ki-enabled appliance. That's one reason why a standard like Ki is critical in products like this.

I wonder if this would eliminate the need for European and US power plug converters?
@r.dumont3031
@r.dumont3031 Год назад
Great question. Indeed "at the surface" the Ki wireless power interface is identical, regardless whether the power generating device under the countertop is powered by 110 or 220v. Indeed the Ki appliances for 110V and 220V regions would be identical.

@@r.dumont3031we would never wire these for 120V here in the USA, considering it's a professional install they would also be 240v like our stoves

I really, really don’t understand why Apple (Tim Cook) has not yet developed and enhanced such technology, to wirelessly (cordless) power iPhone, iPads, Macbooks, and iMac. It makes ton of sense to enable plenty new use case opportunities !!!
