I disagree it has enough storage for a weekend getaway not a daily life, although you have addressed other things, tiny homes lack a lot of storage and extra rooms, the kitchen barely has enough storage, the desk is a joke, I have seen better designs but keep at it, maybe someone will make a winner
Well done on the drop loft! I've watched thousands of tiny home tours and about 5% of them have drop lofts. It seems simple enough to design them so that you can put appliances under the drop part of the loft. I've seen them with kitchens where they've got the fridge under the drop part and cupboards like you've done here.
This home is the best I have seen ...The storage is phenomenal and how this handles in the winter ...the air exchange and heated floors are bar none amazing...
This is incredibly well researched and thought out. Thinking about how you need the area around your shoulders to be clear, for example, is just one example of why this feels larger than any tiny home I've ever seen.
Oh my gosh this is gorgeous! I’m happy to be one of the first to see this video, what an amazing space guys! As a single male (and a bit of a minimalist), this would be perfect for someone like me! I’m gonna share this with some people, so awesome 🤙
This tiny house is absolutely beautiful with so many great storage idea's in every room...I also really love the Scandinavian look it's so clean, fresh and uncluttered I could definitely live in this...thankyou for sharing 💜
If you wanna be successful, you must take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to making you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life...
I'm 48 years old and living in California, I'm hoping to retire at 50 if things keep going well for me. Bought my first house last month and can't be more proud than am. I'm glad made great decisions about my finances that changed me forever but now I can't seem to make any other smart investment.
Her success story is everywhere. I keep on hearing expert Pamel's name being mentioned here and on other platforms, Does she worth the credits and reviews?
I would have to live in this for a short while before I could decide whether it would work as a full time home. It certainly seems to be- there are so many clever ideas tucked into the home! A bath that size is amazing in a tiny home- and the couch/bunk bed was a first for me!
I'm stunned that you managed to fit not only a full size fridge-freezer, but also a washing machine AND a entire bath inside the footprint of a trailer! Not to mention over 6 foot in height on the drop loft is pretty unique and absolutely perfect! Honestly I can't fault a _single_ thing with this tiny home build! Even the design of the bathroom sink is genius, having it drain out the side to keep the underside completely free and clear of any pipework ... that's a better layout than even my full blown kitchen in my _very_ non-movable house!! I might have to steal that idea and see how I can incorporate it inside my own place. I know this is meant to be moved around from location to location, but honestly I could see someone purchasing like an acre of land near some woods, getting electricity and water supplied to the field and just hooking it up as a more permanent house there. Who needs all the extra that comes with a full blown property?
Absolutely love this design! Been following the tiny house movement for years and this design just elevated to the top of my wish list. Beautifully done friends
Very nice, thoughtful build. I would reverse the fridge & freezer doors so that they open into the ktichen area & not to the bathroom side, & add slat bars on each of the panty shelves to keep things on the shelves. Wondering why you didn't make all of the bottom stairs with storage - is it over the wheel well so no space other than the bottom step & further along for the laundry combo unit? LOVE the bathtub, and the concealed coat closet and the dropped loft, but wonder how one makes the bed (have back injuries). Really appreciate that you are designing these for our cold Canadian climate. Oh, and a price for this build would be nice to know. Thanks for sharing, and best wishes!
We would have liked to have the fridge door that way too but it interferes with the hardware in the pantry. It is hard to see in the video, but the pantry shelves do have lips on them to prevent stuff from falling off. The adjustability of the shelves prevents those lips from being too tall as it minimizes how much can be stored in there. Under the stairs is utilized for a utility closet and fender. There is A LOT packed under those stairs.
I like it the only things I would change is to have a Murphy bed couch in the living room against the back wall and I would do an apartment style stackable washer dryer.
I like the design of the tiny house, but I would change two things: 1st) it would be more handy if the freezer and fridge opened to the other side. 2nd) for cross ventilation it would be better to have a window on each side of the couch. The modern scandy vibe is gorgeous.
Very effective space. I might want it a little longer just to include a bit more storage, and I would definitely use less gray. I understand why you did, but I would ask for color if I were getting one built for me. But it's very good, and there's not much I would change. I love that you put a full soaker tub into it -- very few tiny homes do, and I need one for medical reasons, so I'm always glad to see one fit in. Well done!
i love the plan, the furniture, how it considered well the functions of each area without compromising comfort. I like the drawers at the working /dining table, no odd corner storage at kitchen then. Great Design!
Absolutely superb! Very nice nice space and so week organized. The second floor seems a little bit small with the angle of the roof. Love the bathroom as well. My concern is how will it feel to be in during winter in Ottawa? Thanks so much for this film.
It would feel warm and cozy during winter in Ottawa. With the hydronic in-floor heating coupled with a really efficient exterior envelope, this home is toasty warm in the most sever weather.
It is well thought out and has all the design features that I’ve been looking for in a tiny home. The only thing I would change is the windows. I’m not a fan of the big glass windows. I prefer to have windows that are narrow and tall and would want to have a choice for window placement.
Very nice, some really good ideas. The two things I would change is the spice rack - should not be next to a range. The other thing I would like is the counter at the end to be on wheels to move it to the wall for extra room when needed.
That is a really smart design. The couch tripped me out. I've never seen a couch convert into bunk beds. LOL. The wall in between the sink and the shower is brilliant. I've never seen anyone do that. It freed up so much space under the sink and I'm betting it made plumbing the shower/tub easier as well. The height of the kitchen counters is, um...interesting.. I'm sounding like a broken record - I've never seen (or heard of) anyone do that before. I heard most folks say they do not want upper cupboards in the kitchen because it makes it feel too tight. I really want that cupboard space, I have lots of kitchen stuff. In fact I think dishwashers are a waste of cupboard space and I haven't one in 30 years...ugh I feel old.... The only suggestion I would make (I've seen a few other builders do this too) is NOT put the spices next to the oven/stove. The heat build up from the oven will decimate herbs and the spices won't fair well either.
I would suggest a gutter on the roof to divert the rain from the main entrance. Why does the roof stop so close to the wall? Would rain get into the walls? I wonder if the stairs have more storage, only the bottom step seems to have storage. The design and decor is well done and the transformer sofa is amazing. The roof line give a really nice interior, beautiful.
Gutters are a great idea but would put this building over width and would make transportation an issue. That would need to be an add-on once the building is placed in its long-term home. Under the stairs is utilized for a utility closet and fender. There is A LOT packed under those stairs.
Yes, you are missing them. They are hard to see in this video. The one on the hutch is hiding out of site at the bottom of the stairs. There are 2 plugs at the workspace hidden behind the decorations. We put plugs on or accessible on every horizontal surface including the plant ledge and on top of the fridge. This is so important in our tiny home design so the home is functional for full-time living.
I like the tiny home. My only negative is that the refrigerator doors open to the right closing off access to kitchen and cabinets which for me is awkward.
From their website: Due to the custom, efficient and high quality nature of our builds a typical broad range for a tiny home would be $185,000 - 275,000 + tax CAD depending on length, style, layout, utilities, and fit and finish. There is so much that goes into a build and determining price. It all depends on what you need and where you want to put your priorities into your home.
Yoga, yoga, yoga. On a paddleboard, mountaintop, a huge floor area in your TINY HOME ,on top of the house so the neighbours know when you do it.... ...and it must all be filmed for tik tok. 🤣🤣
my brain would like to suggest the door on the cabinet in the extension at 4:05 should face the ones across from it in the closet/standing desk instead, and open away from the kitchen. That way not in conflict with the slide out pantry.
Very nice. Two wonders though. With so much thought put into it. Why did you not switch the refrigerator hinges to the left, so that it would open towards the kitchen and not the bathroom? It's a simple operation. Getting out of the side of the bed by the window would be hard, without disturbing ones mate. On that side the ceiling is below crawling height.
I have only one nitpicky problem. I want the bedroom to be closed, private, maybe as a separate room. And I really don't care for a full kitchen. But everything else is perfect!
